I want to become ias officer and I want to know how will I prepare for this exam

IAS(Indian Administrative Services)

eligibility criteria :- candidate must hold a graduation from any
recognized university
must be a citizen of India
must have attained the age of 21 yrs but not 30
upto five yrs of extension for SC/ST/OBC


No. of attempts: - general category :- 4
OBC :- 7
SC/ST :- no restriction on no. of attempt
and can apply upto their age limit
IAS exam comprises of 2 sets of papers:-
1. prilimenary examination
2. main examination

If you want to become an IAS officer then you have apply for Civil Services exam and clear the Preliminary entrance exam, Main entrance exam and Interview.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service.

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC under Civil Services exam.

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.

Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates.

3 years age relaxation for OBC category candidates.

And SC/ST category candidates 5 years.

Number of Attempts:-

General category candidates - 4 time

OBC category Candidates - 7 time

SC/ST category candidates - No limit.

Selection procedure :-

Preliminary entrance exam

Main entrance exam

Interview
