IPS Stands for Indian Police Service and this Entrance Examination is Conducted Union Public Service Commission. This Entrance Examination is held every Once in a year. The Selection Procedure for this Entrance Examination may divided into Civil Service Aptitude Test , Main Examination and Interview. Procedure to become IPS Officer:- First you have to appear in Civil Service Examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Examination. The Notification and Important details will be published in Employment news paper and Official website of UPSC. Eligibility for IPS Entrance Examination : The Applicant must be a citizen of India. The Applicant should be hold graduation course from recognized University. Final year candidate may also eligible to apply for this Entrance Examination. The Applicant must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years. And upper age limit will be applicable for SC/ST candidates and OBC candidates . Upper age relaxation will be applicable for sc/st candidates for 5 years. Upper age relaxation will applicable for OBC candidates for 3 years. Number of attempts:: For General candidates :- Four attempts. For SC/ST candidates :- No restriction. For OBC candidates :- seven attempts. |
