How to prepare for civil services exam while doing 1st year? Qualifications required for the exam?
i want to ask you about how to prepare for civil services when one is doing b.tech 1 year and how long will it take to prepare for this .
Also tell me what qualifications should i have to give these exams ..... |

hi...
you can give the civil services exam only after your graduation,as you are still in your first year there is still lots of Time left for you to write the exam, you should be reading the newspaper regularly and making an note of all the important events, also prepare well i n your subject if you want to take it as one of the optional subjects all the best |

decide your optionals now only and start preparing at those. read newspar=per daily and be updated adout current affairs. study some competitve magazines...

No Need of preparing for Civils write from your first year
but you should do these things so that they will help you when you start your orginal preparation ->follow all the news paper daily's get updated with all the issues do the deep research and make some points and maintain some note book ->Current affairs is also a very important section you should get updated in all areas like politics sports entertainment and what not everything this about the strategy that a first year student must follow and coming to qualification of the exam are as follows IAS is an central service and also deeply regarded as d most prestigious job.. Like this service there are other 24 services for which a common entrance test is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) The main basic eligibility criteria for Civils Service Examination ->Candidate must have 21 years of age ->Candidate must complete at least degree from a recognized Indian University this is all about the basic eligibility criteria of CSE As per your qualification if you have completed Degree then definitely you are eligible for the exam.. u have another 3 years to give your best in the exams....
*now,what u have to concentrate is update urself towards -->current affairs --->general knowledge -->history -->very strong in technical basis(as u are an engineering student) -->spoken hindi is very much needed *read newspaper for 2 hours per day.. *to be strong in technical basis,u must study wit clear concepts... all the best for your bright future my dear friend... |

In order to be eligible for civil services exam, one should have completed his graduation with any of the discipline from a recognized institute.

1st yr is the basic step, for your proceeding steps to success. You should prepare for GS(general studies) very well,for that you should focus on the questions asked related founders of independance fight and social workers.political issues and indian constitution. For second paper of GS Questions related with foreign issues,nuclear strategies,indians in foreign, are frequently asked. You should be aware of the burning issues which are proceeding in the country, take a look to the daily newspaper, recent events, these all will be your fundamentals of your preparations for UPSC Exam. Remember preparation of civil services exam is the preparation of mental aptitude.so its required in a candidate to have civil eligibility,argument balancing, management skills. Moreover capacity to take favourable decisions in critical situations.If these abilities develops in a candidate then, he/she can score well in prelims as well as in mains. Qualifications- *its necessary to be a graduate from an affiliated university/institute in india, to appear in the exam. *aggregate percentage for general category is 55%. And for reserved categories according to reserved quota. *candidat's age should between 21-30yrs. (general category) for reserved category according to the guidelines. Ok, best of luck. |
