How useful is GATE score? I am studying B.E EC
I am studying B.E EC n m planning to write the GATE exam n hence going to join coaching for the same. if i get a good score in gate is it possible for me to apply for both public and private sectors for job? is this a good idea?

GATE score is really beneficial for you. The score will be beneficial for you to find a rewarding job in public/private sector. Candidates with at least 60-70% marks in B.Tech can apply for PSU based jobs. Selection to PSU like IOCL, BEL, and NTPC are done on the basis of GATE score. Reputed companies in private sector also consider GATE score for selection.
