Yes you can still join the merchant navy in the deck department.

To become a MERCHANT NAVY you are eligible as far as your age is concerned.

But you must have completed a graduation called B.sc (nautical science) to

become a merchant navy. I suggest you to do that degree to achieve your aim.

MERCHANT NAVY generally takes admission after 12th

It conducts its own exams.......it offers B.SC degree in NAUTICAL SCIENCE ...........but as you are already graduate so i think there are less chances for admission in good colleges......

But you can try in private colleges

Since you have done B.Sc. IT, you may join Merchant Navy as Engine Cadet or junior Engineer.
To be eligible for the same, you will need to undergo a Pre-sea course offered by MERI.
The Duration of the pre-sea course is 9 months.

No you should not change your field because it will result in wastage of both your time and money.

Dear Friend,

You are eligible to join Merchant Navy up to the age of 25 years. You can go ahead for Cadet course and can become up to Captain of the Navy.

What percentage is need for going in merchant navy after bsc IT graduation

Sir , I am a 12th passed commerce student and I had taken BSC.IT after 12th , is there any chance to join merchant Navy after graduation from BSC.IT
