My cousin has passed 12th commerce and now doing FYBCOM through distance learning. Can he join navy? If yes then what is the scope for his career?

yes join in indian navy but in accountant section that 's your brother give the exam. and join.but mainly Navy is special for PCM only not for another subject.your better optin is you should go in band division.

there is immense scope for this career. This is an evergreen branch of studies. Though this stream demands a lot of hard work and dedication,once you are through it,u can well establish a strong stand in the respective field. A career in this field is full of adventure.

SORRY .to the best of my knowledge a student with 12th commerce cant join navy as it need science stream with physics,chemistry and maths essential.

Dear friend yes it's possible to join in army for commerce student

Indian Navy is one of the renowned as well as a respected jobs of the Government of India.

There are two chances every year for you. Generally, examination is held twice a year in the months of June and December every year.

They recruit through a entrance exam named Short Service Commission(SSC).

Eligibility Criteria :-

Nationality : Indian.

Marital Status : Unmarried.

Educational Qualifications :

i)You should pass the 12th or equivalent with Science and Mathematics with 60% or above marks in aggregate and optional as Chemistry or Biology or Computer Science.

ii)You should pass B.Sc in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics with minimum 60% marks.
or
iii)You should pass BE or B.Tech with minimum 65% marks in aggregate in any discipline from any institution recognized by AICTE.
or
iv)You should have M. Sc in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics with minimum 55% marks.

Age Limits :19.5 to 25 years as the examination time.

Physical Standards:-

Height: Minimum 157 cm

Eye standard: Without glasses better eye 6/6 and worse 6/9

Color perception: CP II

The eligible candidates will be called up for Service Selection Board (SSB) based on their educational intelligence in graduation.

Exam Procedure
:
The eligible candidates are called for the written examination of objective-type of 75 minutes which includes:

i)General Science

ii)Mathematics

iii)General Knowledge

iv)General English

but I am very sorry, to say that, you are not eligible for the Indian navy.
after 12th, there is the examination, called NDA(national defense academy) examination.
for applying in the Indian navy.
for appear in this examination you must have 12th degree from a recognized college,with the PHYSICS & MATHS.

It is possible to join Indian Navy after 12th commerce.
But you will have to sit NDA examination.

But you should have these criteria :

1.you should have passed 12th standard examination

2.Your age should be within 16.5 to 19 years.

3.You must be an Indian

4.Your height should be minimum 165 cm.

5.Your eyesight should be 6/6 and should not have no color blindness.

you can join in navy after completed your 12th, but you have no choice to apply ads exam because in 12th standard need maths and physics subject compulsory for attempt ads exam.
You completed your 12th then you eligible for navy exam age limit 23years and age relaxation is help in age to obc,sc,st candidate.
Height is 158cmt , the candidate should be a citizen.
Navy is selection in three ways:
physical test,
inter view,
written test.
