Re: Which stream to choose after 10th to become an IAS officer?
You can choose to study any of the streams of your choice. There is no specific area requirement as the qualification required is graduation. So you must select the one in which you are good in and can excel. You can appear in the final year of the graduation. In the mean time as part of the preparation make sure to read the newspaper regularly and keep yourself updated on the current affairs section.

Re: Which stream to choose after 10th to become an IAS officer?
Hii..
Well both of the subjects are good on their own perspectives. the subject matters when you are in the graduation level. so a subject which would bear you more opportunities in the future would be beneficial.. for that if we take the commerce side then i may say that commerce is not giving you the diverse choice of subjects while as you choose science then there are the most diverse collection of choices you may get you could opt either of the streams- medical(biology) or engg.(maths) side and based on them you could get many subjects in IAS among them. In my opinion you should go for science side as it is offering you a good opportunity. |

Re: Which stream to choose after 10th to become an IAS officer?
well it doesn't matter which stream you chose as all people get the same opportunity to
clear exam . civil service exam is based on such a pattern that every stream people can crack it but to some extent it provide little advantage to students who have got ARTS SUBJECT in their class 11th and have done BA.because lot of question asked are directly related to history ,geography . And moreover ARTS students have opportunity to prepare for exam while studying as their syllabus is easy and hence they can prepare . if you are sure that you want to become IAS then it better if you opt ARTS . changes in exam pattern in preliminary exams : |
