engineering these days is the most prefered area to shape up one's career. There are many streams like ECE, CSE, MECHANICAL, EEE, IT, INSTRUMENTATION, MECHATRONICS, CIVIL and so on and so forth. depending on what area you are good at, you have to choose your stream. Mechanical by the way has got a promising future in the coming years. It has got full of physics in it. Cse is a easy way to ur goal but there is a lot of competition.

Tips to crack the engineering.

If you are interested in the engineering field then you need to appear in the entrance examination. To appear in the entrance examination you should have pass 12th exam. After completing 12th class you can appear in the many entrance exam like IIT JEE, AIEEE, Wbjee, ORJEE, VITEEE, KIITEE....and many other.

IIT JEE and AIEEE is the most famous engineering entrance examination for the admission in the engineering course. Every year a large number of candidates appear in this examination to test their fate but seat is limited so competition becomes really hard.

Useful tips to crack the engineering entrance examination :

->Always start preparation from the basic because it is important for the solving of Problem.

->Never prefer solution before giving good attempt of the question.

->Always keep syllabus with you before starting the new topic first see the syllabus.

->Always remember the time is very important factor for the all examination. So, do preparation according to time table.

->You can practice from the previous year paper because it gives idea about the type of the question asked in the examination.

You can choose any branch according to your interest. If you get good rank in the entrance exam then you can choose any branch.I advise you to choose any branch according to own interest not by parent or other interest. Do, preparation well for the entrance examination and crack the exam.

Tips to prepare for the engineering exams ::

well it depends on for which engineering exams you are preparing .Because the pattern and the duration of different entrance exam is different .For example for IIT JEE the speed does not matter .The exam pattern is also different from other examination and question asked are conceptual based question while in AIEEE examination your speed should be very good and also question asked are generally formula based they are not that tricky as much as IIT JEE examination do .

Some important things which you should keep in mind are ::

In AIEEE question asked are generally formula based so try to mug up every formula while in IIT JEE questions asked are conceptual based and very easy so try to make you base strong

Try to study at least 10 hours a day .It will help you to complete your course fast and also gives you more time for revision .

In AIEE most of question asked are from previous year IIT JEE papers so don't forget to study last 10 years IIT JEE papers .

Make notes of important formula it will help you in quick revision later .

hi dear
After complete your 12th science then you eligible for joining Engineering subject.
For this you give entrance exam,like:-
AIEEE
IIT,JEE
OJEE
WBJEE
other state exam.

But after that if you have good rank then you get admission in good college
but at the time of admission you decide what you take branch?
like there is so many branch are there in engineering like:-

*ELECTRONICS
*TELECOMMUNICATION
*COMPUTER
*INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
*ELECTRICAL
*CIVIL
*MECHANICAL
*CHEMICAL ENGG.
*INSTRUMENTION ENGG.
*PETROCHEMICAL ENgg.

all are good aspects but there is good future all.
but if you choose as your want .........

Enng colleges:-

*IIT,kharagpur
*IIT,Kanpur
*IIT,Delhi

Hello,
The engineering field is a wide field. There are many many options that you can choose. Some of the good Engineering Branches I have listed here.
*Civil Engineering
*Electrical Engineering
*Mechanical Engineering
*Chemical Engineering
*Computer Science Engineering
*Electronics Engineering
All the branches of engineering are good and offer a great future. So it is completely your decision to make depending upon your choice.
To get admission in Engineering course you have to give entrance examination like IITJEE,AIEEE and other state level Engineering Entrance examinations. To sit for these exams you should have Physics,Chemistry,Mathematics as main subjects in the 10+2 level. And to clear the above stated exams you should have thorough knowledge of the subjects. If you find difficulty in preparing yourself then you can opt for coaching which are basically oriented for preparing these examinations.

Best wishes....

engineering is the most common for students taking maths as stream in 12th... the most preferred branches in now-a-days are electronics n communication(ECE), CIVIL ENGG. , MECHANICAL ENGG., COMPUTER SCIENCE. All these branches have their own importance.
firstly interrogate yourself about your area of interest.. opt that field in which you can grow yourself nicely.. software knowledge can make you good in cs branch.. for every branch just remember one thing, it is not the degree which matters..,, it is the technical knowledge that matters and because of that you can have a very good future in engg...

some tips for you
Complete your syllabus - Attempting the easier questions from the nook and corner of your text book is less time consuming than the toughest problem in mechanics. There are many topics which are not covered by students for their preparation and when a question pops from that topic you just complain that the paper is tough instead of realizing how easy that question actually was.

Have a plan - Revise all the topics from 11 class from now on - Spend atleast an hour everyday revising the 11 class topics.

NCERT is your bible - Prepare as much as theory as possible only from the NCERT books. You can practice the problems from other competitive examinations book like Arriant, TMH etc. This is especially important for Chemistry

Time is Money - Most of you guys would be writing practice tests on Saturdays or Sundays. The most important thing these practice tests teach you is how to manage the time.

By heart - You need to by heart the basic formulas as well as basic problems. Many people just leave it at the formulas and try to derive basic problem in the exams - this will waste a lot of time. Ex: Neve try to derive the Moment of Inertia of any object in the exam hall for the basic structures - just By heart

I will be adding many other tips. Do check the blog and if you have any issues with your Competitive exams 2010 planning do post it as comments. The team of BITSexam is always here to help you.
