Aspirants who are interested to opt for aeronautical engineering after passing their 12th standard with PCM must have secured at least 60% marks in their intermediate and 5% relaxation is given to SC and ST students.
Selection to aeronautical engineering is mainly done through the entrance examination that is Joint Entrance Engineering Test. |

Candidates who have passed 12th standard with PCM stream or three years Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering from a recognised institute are eligible to apply for admission to Aeronautical Engineering course. You should have to appear and qualify the National or State or University level engineering entrance examinations like JEE, BITSAT, KCET, etc., and participate in the counselling process to get a seat for pursuing Aeronautical Engineering course.

There is no requirement in percentage criteria to pursue Aeronautical Engineering in future.
To pursue this course, you must appear for Engineering entrance exam like JEE Main, JEE Advanced (after qualifying JEE Main), MH-CET, WBJEE, BITSAT, MP-PET, etc. After qualifying anyone of the following entrance exam with decent rank, you will have to apply for counseling and then choose Aeronautical Engineering as your preferred branch. On the basis of your preferred choice and branch, you will be allotted college after Counselling result. Some of the top rated Aeronautical Engineering colleges across India are:
