What is the minimum height required to join CID police force? Is there any relaxation for OBC or Schedule Caste category person? Also, let me know other physical requirements.

There is not any relaxation in height on the basis of cast in the recruitment of CID Officer.

Physical requirements for CID Officer are:-

Height:-
For Men - 165 cm
For Women - 150 cm

Height relaxable for hills men and tribals are 5 cm

Chest - 76 cm with expansion

Eye sight:-
Distant vision - 6/6 in one and 6/9 in other eye
Near vision - 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye

To join police force following eligibility criteria need to be fulfilled :

- Height : 165cm or more.

- Weight : Should not be less than 55kg and must be in proportion to the height.

- Chest : 80cm with 5cm of expansion.

- Eyes : 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other and free from colourblindness.

- There is no relaxation in any of physical or medical requirements for reserved communities like SC,ST,OBC. However, there is relaxation in height of 5cm for the candidates belonging to North-Eastern states.

Eligibility criteria FOR CID are as follows:-
Minimum height for a CID Officer should be 165 cm for men and 150 cm for women. And weight should be proportional to height.
Minimum chest should be 76 cm.
Educational qualification should be 10+2 from Arts, Science.
Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Eyesight-
Distant vision- 6/6 in One And 6/9 in Other Eye.
Near vision: 0.6 in One Eye And 0.8 In Other Eye.
Reservation is in age and it is 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.
