What is NET exam? What are the minimum criteria required to apply for NET exam? I am just new when it comes to the NET exam, so can someone please provide me the complete details on the same? It will be helpful if you can answer me back soon. Thanks!

NET (National Eligibility Test) is an entrance exam conducted by national educational testing bureau of university of grant commission like UGC, CBSE and CSIR. This test is conducted for becoming teacher/ professor in any government colleges/ universities. This test is conducted twice every year. The full details about the eligibility requirements are mentioned below.
Eligibility criteria: - The candidate should have completed their masters degree in any related discipline with minimum 55% from any recognised university. - The age limit should be between 19 - 28 years. The upper age limit varies based on the post and reservation candidates. |

NET ( National Eligibility Test ) and examination is conducted by UGC for recruitment of candidates as lecturer or JRF.
The eligibility to appear in examination is :- Candidate must have passed master degree from a recognised university. Candidate must have scored minimum 55% in master degree. The age limit is 19-28 years for JRF and no age limit for lecturer. Candidates in final year of master degree can also appear for examination. NET stands for National Eligibility Test and examination is conducted by University Grant Commission twice in a year for recruitment as Junior Research Fellowship or for recruitment as lecturer in government colleges.
The minimum required eligibility criteria to appear in examination is candidate must have passed master's degree from a recognised university with minimum 55% or equivalent aggregate under CGPA or SGPA. There is age limit to appear in examination 19-28 years but only for JRF. The next NET will be conducted on 05th November 2017. NET stands for National Eligibility Test and same examination is held by CBSE on the behalf of UGC for recruitment of Assistant Professors and JFRs ( Junior Research Fellowship ) in various universities of India approved by UGC.
--> The minimum eligibility criteria required for appearing om NET are as here under :- * You must have the citizenship of India. * Your age must lie under 28 years for the post of JRFs. There is no age limit for the post of Assistant professor. Also there is provision of age relaxation for reserved category candidates for the post of JRFs as per the government norms. * You must have completed your Masters degree with 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university. NET is the National Eligibility Test. This entrance exam is conducted by the UGC (University Grants Commission) department. NET entrance exam is conducted twice in a year in the month of June and December .
The eligibility criteria for the NET exam are as under :- -The candidate must have passed the Master's degree with at least 55% marks from any recognized university. -The candidate age must be less than 35 years.There is age relaxation as per gov. rules for reserved categories. -The candidate must be an Indian . The selection process involves of * Written exam , and * Interview . |

The full form of NET is National Eligibility Test.
NET is conducted by Central Bureau of Secondary Education for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship. Eligibility Criteria: 1. You must have done master's degree in any stream from a UGC recognized university. Final year post graduation candidates can also apply for the exam. Minimum of 55% marks in master's degree is required to apply for the exam. 2. The upper age limit for JRF is 28 years. No upper age limit for lectureship. The last date to apply for December NET exam is already over. |

NET refers to National Eligibility Test and it is held for recruitment of Assistant Professor and JRFs in universities recognized by UGC.
* The basic qualifications required for appearing in NET are as here under :- ii) You must have the nationality of India with your age under 28 years for the post of Assistant professor. There is no age limit for joining as JRFs as well as there is provision of age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per the government norms. iii) You must have completed your post graduate degree i.e; Masters degree with at least 55% marks from a recognized university. NET (National eligibility exam) exam is an exam for eligibility in teaching and junior research fellowship. You have to complete masters degree or equivalent with minimum 55% marks to appear that exam. You can also appear if you are a 2nd year student of master's degree but you will be declared pass only after your master's degree marks are out.
