I am writing my 2nd Semester B.A exams. I have failed in one subject in 1st semester B.A. What is the maximum time to clear all the arrears?

Every candidate has to clear the pending arrears/ backlogs before the completion of the academic degree. If the candidate fails to clear the backlog with in the academic year, then the candidate will not receive degree certificate.

As you have failed one subject in 1st semester of B.A, then maximum time to clear the pending arrears is before the final semester of B.A.

You can clear your arrears before completion of your final year B.A course or within maximum duration of B.A course. The minimum duration of B.A course is 3 years and maximum duration is 6 years. It is best to qualify all the examinations within minimum duration of B.A course. If in any case, you are not able to clear your arrears, you need to complete all your arrears within 6 years from the date of admission you have taken in B.A course.

There is no such time required for clearing arrears of BA degree. You can attend any number of time as your wish. But, its always recommended try to clear the arrears at first attempt. Otherwise, it create a problem at the of finding job.

Being a 2nd year student you have a chances to clear the backlogs till the end of your final year of graduation, lot of students have backlogs in their gradation.
So, you no need to worry about that just concentrate your studies and get it as much as earlier.

If I get an arrears in engineering and fail to clear it in 1st attempt, will the marksheet of the individual sem mention the 2nd attempt clearance?
