Is joining private colleges for merchant navy safe??does they provide placement assurance and job security. if yes then can you provide me the best colleges for the same?!!!!!!????

Tough to say whether it is safe or not. But there are good number of jobs for sure. So when we look at demand then if you excel even in the average college you will land in a very good job. But it is risky.

Before selecting a college please check its past performance and scenario. How it placed its students. Are there any changes in the management. What are their future plans. What previous students say about their college. How many years back it was established. What is its success rate in market. What is the value of their course. How they are teaching. What are their pedagogical methods. This kind of questions should be answered before arriving to a decision.

Take help of seniors/parents/siblings. Cross check hundred times before proceeding further. However there are good opportunities in India and Abroad for cadets (one who pursue merchant navy course is called like that).

There is a exam which our union government company "Shipping Corporation of India" conducts for all cadets who seek career in Merchant navy. One have to clear this for sure. Shipping Corporation of India itself recruit many cadets every year. There are some other private companies also which recruit cadets in technical roles. Once you get the initial break through. Sky is the limit in this field.
