My son is studying 9th std in CBSE international school. Due to his homesickness, we want to put him in a CBSE school nearby in the month of November, 2017. What is the procedure? Can someone give me the details on this? Thanks!

Yes, he will get admission in another CBSE school.
For getting admission you have to visit to the school.
You have to fill an application form and you will need Transfer certificate and report card of class 8th.
You have to tell about the sickness of your child and Reason behind changing your son's​ school.

It is possible to change from one CBSE School to another CBSE School in between studies (middle of an academic year) with genuine reason. If the parents are in the army or civil services, then it is possible to change schools in the middle of an academic year. It is not advisable to change schools in the middle of the year. Parents can contact the CBSE School (both) administrator for more details regarding shifting. It is better to change the school only after completion of current year completion. It is very difficult to follow the lessons for the kids when shifted to a new school in the middle of the year.

No, you can't change your son from International school to CBSE Board while pursuing 9th standard in the month of November. None of the schools offer admission in 9th standard in mid of the November. So, you can change your son to another school only after completion of his 9th standard. The other alternate way is to drop from 9th standard for this year and join in nearby school in the next academic year as there is
no other alternate way to get admission in 9th standard in month of November in another school.

You can obtain transfer certificate from this school and get your son admitted in other CBSE affiliated school. Since the registration for board exam of 10th standard is done in ninth standard. Your son will have same registration number in other school in database of CBSE.

The academic session of school generally begin from April and admission process starts from March to April. You can visit the school in which you are interested and get your son admitted in tenth standard in that school.

There is a procedure that one can change his or her school in between the studies but make sure that board of the school must be same. As your child is studying in CBSE board hence change his school to some other school which has CBSE board only. To change this cool one must have to tell the valid reason behind changing the school. Take your character certificate, previous year marksheet while taking your admission in another school because another School will see them.

As per the rules, there is no problem to change the school in between studies. One need to show the certificates to the school in which he or she is taking admission. Some of the schools conduct entrance exam while some schools give admission on the basis of percentage as well as if there is any vacancy.

Sorry, but you can not change your ward's school in the mid session. And not even a single CBSE school will provide admission to your ward in class 9th. Because in CBSE school there is registration of all students of class 9th or class 11th and this registration is held in the month of August or September. Students can change their school before this period, otherwise no CBSE school will provide you admission in 9th standard.

No let me inform you that in the middle session you are not allowed to change school.
You have to go through a registration process. This is done in class 9th and after going through registration you are not allowed to change either school or board.
You can contact school head to give some preference to your child as because he is sick and could not continue study. They will tell you what to do now.

To change your son from CBSE International School to CBSE school, you should have to obtain the TC, qualifying examination marksheet, etc., from CBSE International School and submit them in CBSE School. If the CBSE school is conducting any admission test for offering admission then, your son have to appear and qualify the admission test for getting admission in CBSE school. And one more thing, you can't change your son to another school in the middle of the academic year, you can do it only when the academic year starts i.e., in the month of June every year.

You can get the application form from the school itself where you wish to get admission in, you want to get admission in. provide the required details asked for along with the respective documents, however you will not be able to get admission in between the session.

Therefore, you will have to get admission in 9th standard again as you will also not be able to get admission in 10th standard directly in 10th standard. So, you will have to get admission in 9th std instead.
