Respected Sir, I want to admit my Son in class 1 but I am not sure about the age of admission so I want to know what is the minimum age required for admission in class 1? What is the eligibility criteria required for admission? Please answer as soon as possible.

The minimum age for admission in class 1 is 5 years at most of the schools but different schools may have different eligibility criteria for it. 3 years is the minimum age for nursery admission and 5 years for class 1, which is decided by the government.

Hence, you need to apply for admission only when age is in accordance with this criteria. Admission will be possible, if you have documents supporting your son's eligibility.

The minimum age required for the child to be eligible to get admission in Class one is 5 years 6 months as on 31st March of the year of admission. There are also some schools which does not consider age criteria for offering admission in Class one. The candidate should have passed UKG from a recognised school to get admission in Class one.

Different schools has different age criteria. Generally the minimum age should be 5 years and maximum age should be 7 years.

The minimum age required for admission of a candidate in class 1 is that the candidate should have attained the minimum age of 3 years and 6 months. The candidate along with their parents will have to appear for an interview and after clearing the interview your child will get admission in it.
