Indian Forest Service Examination 2011, Union Public Service Commission
Union Public Service Commission came into existence on October 1, 1926 under The Government of India. The commission holds the responsibility of being a constitutional body in the country which is responsible or infact authorized to conduct competitive written as well as interview examinations for the appointment to the various Civil Services of India. The Chairman and other members of the Union Public Service Commission are selected by the President of India only. Union Public Service Commission is actually headed by one chairman and ten other members.
Job Profile:
Union Public Service Commission is inviting applications from the eligible candidates for the recruitment on the position of Indian Forest Service Officers. Union Public Service Commission is conducting the Indian Forest Service Examination 2011 for recruiting candidates to the Indian Forest Service Officers commencing from 9 July 2011.
Eligibility:
Interested candidates should not have age less than 21 years as on 1 July 2011. Those candidates, who possess age more than 30 years are also not eligible for the specified examination. The upper age limit is relaxable by few years for SC/ST/OBC and some other certain categories candidates. Candidates should also meets with the adequate physical standards set.
The maximum number of attempts permissinle to the candidates are as follows:
General category candidates: Only 4 attempts are permissible.
SC/ST category candidates: No limits in number of attempts.
OBC category candidates: Only 7 attempts are permissible.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university with atleast one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and veterinary Science, Botony, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology, is required for applying in the specified examination. Candidates, who possess bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering are also eligible to apply.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get the prescribed amount of salary.
Application Fee:
Rs. 100 is the amount of application fee that is need to be paid by the General and OBC categories candidates. SC/ST/PH categories candidates are not required to submit any application fee as they have been exempted from paying any kind of application fee. The application fee must be paid through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only.
Selection Process:
Candidates will have to undergo all the three stages of the selection process including Competitive written examination, Medical Test and Personal Interview Test. Eligible candidates will have to clear in the first stage of the selection process for going into the second stage and so on. Only successful candidates of all these three stages will be considered at the time of making final selections.
How to apply: All applicants should apply online only at UPSC website on or before the last date for online application i.e. 18 April 2011. Candidates desiring to apply online, should apply on r before the last date for the online application.
