The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur or IIT KGP) is an autonomous engineering, technology and management oriented institute of higher education established by the government of India in 1951. The first of the original five IITs to be established, it is recognised as an Institute of National Importance by the government of India. IIT Kharagpur has been ranked the best engineering college by Outlook magazine in 2009 and 2010. IIT Kharagpur has been ranked amongst the top engineering colleges in India by education surveys such as India Today Hindustan Times OutLook,  ”DataQuest”.

The institute was established to train scientists and engineers after India attained independence in 1947. It shares its organisational structure and undergraduate admission process with sister IITs. The students and alumni of IIT Kharagpur are informally referred to as KGPians. Among all IITs, IIT Kharagpur has the largest campus (2,100 acres), the most departments, and the highest student enrolment. IIT – Kharagpur invites application for the following positions:

1. Senior Networking Engineer

No. of Positions – 01

Pay Scale – Rs. 15600/- - 39100/- plus AGP of Rs. 8000/-

Qualifications required –

a. B. Tech / BE in electronics / computer engineering or equivalent with 65% of marks is compulsory.

b. The candidate should have at least 15 years of experience Network implementation, Operation in Campus and WAN.

c. Server / Storage, Operations of Application Software and Security Policy Implementation in data center environment.

d. The candidate should have preferable experience in Networking, Security and IT process.

2. Network Engineer for campus network and network expansion activities

No. of Positions – 03

Pay Scale - Rs. 15600/- - 39100/- plus AGP of Rs. 5400/-

Qualifications required –

a. B. Tech / BE in electronics / computer engineering or equivalent with 65% of marks is compulsory.

b. Experience in Wi-Fi networks, Voice IP/TP telephony, Multi Layer Switching, Network Management System is preferred.

c. The positional will be contractual for a period of 5 years.
