Re: Whether a diploma holder is eligible to apply for JEE main exam?
Yes, Diploma holders are eligible to apply for JEE Main examination as it is a gateway for JEE Advanced examination. But, their JEE Main examination score or rank can't be used to get admission in NIT as Diploma holders are not eligible for taking admission in NIT. The syllabus for JEE Main examination is 11th and 12th standard PCM stream subjects syllabus. You need to appear, qualify and secure top 1,50,000 rank in JEE Main examination to be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination for taking admission in IIT for pursuing B.Tech course.

Re: Whether a diploma holder is eligible to apply for JEE main exam?
JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and same is the national level engineering entrance examination held for admission in B.tech / B.Arch degree course in CFTIs like IITs, NITs, IIITs, etc. and other private engineering colleges.
JEE is held by CBSE once every year in two stages which includes JEE Main and JEE Advanced respectively. Being a diploma holder you are not eligible for appearing in JEE as for one's eligibility for appearing in JEE Main percentile score in the Class 12th board aggregate comes into matter which is not available in case of diploma degree holders.
