Firstly, you have to give UPSC held Civil Services Examination and then you have to familiarize yourself with the pattern of the Exam.
Secondly, you have to pass three stages i.e., the First Stage is Prelims, second stage mains, and the third stage is Interview.
For Second stage you have to choose 2 optional subjects.

Thumbs up Re: Minimum percentage required in 12th to become IAS officer?

Just u need to pass 12 exam. And you need to complete graduation in any subject (professional/non professional) from any recognised Universities . Then apply for CSE UPSC examination. Remember you can't become IAS officer right after 12th. you must need a graduation. Best of luck.

No, there is no such minimum required percentage in class 12th to become an IAS officer. It means if you got atleast 33% in your class 12th and declared as passed from a recognized board you are eligible to write the exam and become an IAS officer. The other crtiteria is that you should hold a bachelor degree from any recognized institution in a respective subject.
