IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. It is one of the top civil service in India.
Every year UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) is going to conduct Civil Service Exam in order to recruit the candidates into various civil services like Indian Administrative Service Indian Police Service Indian Revenue Service Indian Foreign Service etc. The selection procedure will be Civil Services Aptitude Test Civil Services Main Exam Interview One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university in order to be eligible to apply for this Exam. In addition, the required age for the candidates should be 21-30 years. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and it is upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. As you are a chartered accountant, I suggest you to opt for any of the following subjects as optional subject for Main Exam Economics Commerce etc. Here is the information regarding this year CSAT Exam. Date of commencement of notification : 17-05-2014 Last date to apply for this Exam : 16-06-2014 Date of CSAT Exam : 24-08-2014 As you have 6 months of time to prepare for this Exam, make most out of it.
