After passing 12th with Any stream you are not eligible for Indian Police Services. If you want to join Indian Police Services then after passing 12th you have to pass graduation with any stream. After passing graduation with any course you have to qualify the civil services entrance exam. Civil Services exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year. U.P.S.C conduct this exam form many post like:- > Indian Administrative Services > Indian Police Services > Indian Foreign Services > Indian Revenue Services etc Age limit:- Age limit for Civil Services exam is 21-30 year. For O.B.C and ST/SC candidate 3 and 5 year relaxation is given respectively. Number of attempts for General Candidate is 4. For O.B.C is 7 and for ST/SC candidate no limit till age of 37 year. IPS stands for Indian Police Service. It is one of the top civil service in India.
Here is the complete procedure that you should follow to become IPS officer. First you have to complete your Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university. And then you have to crack the following selection procedure CSAT Exam Civil Services Main Exam Interview In CSAT exam, you should have questions from the following categories Aptitude Current Affairs General English But for Main Exam, the questions will be upon the optional subject that you are going to opt for. So, I suggest you to opt for the Graduation in accordance with the stream that you have gone through in your 10+2 and complete it successfully. Have good preparation for the CSAT Exam and Main Exam right from the beginning of your Graduation and apply for it as and when you complete your Graduation. You should be a citizen of India to apply for this Exam. Your age should be between 21-30 years to apply for this Exam. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. You can definetly join but you have to complete your graduation and then attempt the exams of civil serviecs then you can join
But you have to prepare more for the service exams and all the best |
