Hello friend,
The best way to get into Indian Navy is CDS exam conducted by UPSC every year. After qualifying the examination, you will be eligible for admission in the Naval Academy.
The minimum educational qualification required to write the exam is B.Sc with Physics and Mathematics.
The minimum eligible age is 19 years and the maximum age limit is 22 years.
The notification for CDS exam is usually published during the month of September-October in Indias leading newspapers including "Employment News".

of course you can join indian navy after pursuing BSc.
the best way to get into navy is through CDSE examination conducted by UPSC.
as you are doing BSc, I can conclude that you have studied physics and mathematics at your +2 level, so there is no such problem.

Yes you can join indian navy.The minimum criteria is 10+2 certificate with minimum of 19 years of age.The candidate should have studied physic and maths in their previous studies.Since you are doing b.sc you can go for CDS exam after your completion.

Candidate should have complete graduation degree in Engineering from a recognized university.

You can join Indian Navy after clearing NDA exam conducted by UPSC. For naval wings of National Defence Academy minimum qualification is 10+2 with physics and mathematics. For details refer to http://www.upsc.gov.in
There are also other examinations for recruitment of sailors in Indian Navy like Indian Navy Artificer Apprentice Exam, MER (Matric Entry Recruitment) exam, NMER (Non Matric Entry Recruitment) exam carried out by Indian Navy. If you want to get training in Naval Dockyard School, Mumbai, there is Indian Navy Dockyard Apprentice Examination. All these exams is conducted twice a year for courses commencing from August/September and February/March.
Coming to the point of getting into Indian Naval Academy through CDS exam (as suggested in this thread by others), educational qualification required is degree in engineering. So, with B.sc degree you are not eligible for that.

you just need to fulfill these criteria

your age not more than 22 years

must have physics, chemistry, maths

if you fill have both above criteria check out employment news regularly & fill the form

There are lots of posts to which a B.Sc Graduate can enter the Indian Navy. Primarily the candidate must have completed 10+2 with Physics and Maths. Now after your graduation you can either become an officer in the Indian Navy. This can be possible if your clear the CDSE exam. You can also join the Logistics and also the education cadre of the Navy after your graduation.

At present you can only for NDA.for NDA, only required 12th standard with min 60% marks.but after B.Sc you can try for CDS.
but for applying CDS,you should have min 60% marks in your B.sc.

Candidates should apply for NDA(National Defence Academy) exam. The exam is conducted by UPSC(union public service commission).

* Candidates should be the citizen of India.
* Candidates should complete 12 standard from a recognized institute.
* Candidates should have studied physics,chemistry and maths at 12th.
* Candidates should get 60% at 12th.
* Candidates should have age limit within 16.5 to 19 years.
* Only unmarried candidates are eligible for exam.
* Candidates should be physically fit.

Procedure:

You can join Indian Navy after passing the graduation.
For this you have to qualify the C.D.S exam.
C.D.S stand for Combine Defence Services Exam.


N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

After qualifying C.D.S exam you can join Defence services like:-
> Army
> Air Force
> Navy

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass graduation with recognized university
> Age limit:-19-24 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit

Indian navy takes an examination to appoint their candidates. Generally examination is held twice a year in the months of June and December.

Eligibility Criteria :-

Nationality :- Indian.
Marital Status :- Unmarried.
Educational Qualifications :- You have to pass 12th or equivalent with Science and Mathematics with 60% or above marks in aggregate.
Age Limits :- 15 to 18 years.

Physical Standards:-
Minimum height: 157 cm
Minimum eye standard: Without glasses better eye 6/6 and worse 6/9
Color perception: CP II


Application Procedure:
You have to complete the application form as per format given in the Employment News on a plain paper either handwritten or typed if you are fulfilled with the eligibility criteria.

Exam Procedure :-
If you are eligible then you will be called for the written examination which includes :-
(i)Science
(ii)Mathematics
(iiiGeneral Knowledge
(iv)English

The question paper will be of objective-type of 75 minutes duration.
