Am completed in my 12th standard in 2013. Now am studying in the B.E -EEE 3rd year. How am I able for entering to the Indian Navy.

If you wish to join Indian navy, you should apply for CDS exam.For that you have to first complete your Bachelor's degree.

UPSC conducts CDS(Combined Defense Services) Exam twice every year for recruitment in different wings of Indian Army.

The eligibility criteria for CDS exam are as under:-

- Nationality : Indian.

- Educational Qualification:

Indian Military Academy/Officer's Training Academy-Graduation in any discipline.

Indian Naval Academy-Bachelor of Engineering.

Indian Air Force Academy-10+2 level degree with Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering.

-Age limit:

Indian Military Academy- 19 years to 24 years

Indian Naval Academy-19 years to 22 years

Indian Air Force Academy-19 years to 23 years

Officer's Training Academy-19 years to 25 years

-The candidate should be physically fit as per the Physical Standards for admission to CDS exam.

-Selection Procedure:

*Written Exam

*Interview by Services Selection Board.

-Exam Pattern:

English – 100 marks

General Knowledge – 100 marks

Elementary mathematics – 100 marks

You can entry to Indian Navy through a defence called CDS commenced by UPSC every year.

This year CDS Exam will be conducted on 14 Feb 2016.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• You should have attained the age of 19 years and must have not attained the age of 22 years.
• You must have Bachelor's degree from any recognized Institution.
• Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for this examination.

However, last date to apply for CDS exam is already passed away.

Yes, you are eligible to join Indian Navy after completing your bachelor degree from the recognised university.

To join Indian Navy you have to appear and qualify in CDS examination. CDS examination is conducted by UPSC twice every year. The eligibility to appear for Indian Navy examination is :-

Candidate must have passed B.tech/B.E or have Physics and Mathematics as main paper from any recongised university.

Candidate age must be between 19-22 years.

So, you will be eligible to appear for examination next year, the examination is conducted in two stages and candidates have to qualify in both stages for final selection.

You are now not eligible to join Indian Navy.

To join Indian Navy through the CDS examination the required eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed or in final year of graduation from recognised university.

Candidate must have Physics and Mathematics or have technical degree as B.E or B.tech. Tge age limit to appear for Navy examination is 19-22 years.

Eligibility :

Citizen of Indian

Educational Qualification :

IMA / OTA : Any degree from a recognized university or equivalent

Naval Academy : Bachelor of Engineering from a recognized university

Air Force Academy : Degree from a recognized university & 10+2 level with physics & maths

AGe Limit :

IMA : unmarried male candidates between 1-24 years
Naval Academy : unmarried male candidates between 19-22 years

Officers Training Academy : males candidates between 19-25 year ( Married & unmarried)

Selection process based on written test , Interview & medical test
