Respected Sir, I am Madavi and I am studying in class 9th. I want to join the Indian Navy in the future so I want to know, what should I do after completing class 10th? Please tell me the procedure to apply for Indian Navy.

You can not apply for the Indian Navy after completing 10th standard. To apply Indian Navy you need to complete the 12th from any recognised state board.

To apply Indian Navy you can choose the NDA exam.

NDA stands for national defence academy. This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year.

NDA I
NDA II

NDA has three wings:

Indian Army
Indian Navy
Indian Air force

Eligibility criteria:

Candidate should be citizen of India.

Candidate should complete the 12th standard from recognised state board.

Indian Navy and Airforce candidate need physics, chemistry and mathematics subjects compulsory.

Candidate age limit should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

No age relaxation applicable for other categories.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. Female candidates are not eligible for this exam.

Dear Friend,

You have got 2 options to join for NAVY. One has a sailor, and the next as a officer.
For Sailor grade entry have to finish you 12th and apply for the post whenever the recruitment notification occurs.

For Officer grade entry you have give NDA Exam conducted by UPSC after your 12th Completion. NDA is a very competitive exam you have to be well prepared for that.

So in both the cases you have to complete your 12th and then decide what you have to do.!!

You can take entry in Indian Navy after completing your 12th class. So firstly you have to completed your 10th class than 11th and than after completing 12th class you are eligible for the Indian Navy jobs. After completing your 12th you can apply for the NDA exam, which gets you an entry in Indian Navy.
For NDA Eligibility Criteria:
> The applicant should be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan Migrate who came the India before the 1 January 1962 with the purpose of eternally settle in India.
> Unmarried candidate are only eligible to appear in the NDA exam.
> For Navy and Air force jobs the candidate must have done his 12th with science subjects.
> The minimum age required to join Indian Navy is 16.5 years and the maximum age will be 19.5 years. There will be no age relaxation for any category.

Dear Aspirant,

Girls can join Indian Navy through officer entry for which graduation is the minimum qualification.
Navy offers short service commission for women in Naval Architect, Law, Air Traffic Control, Aviation and education cadres.
After competing your graduation, you can regularly go through the NAVY website and Employment News for Notification advertisement and apply accordingly.
