For all these, selection procedure involves writing exam, interview, medical examination and training

Technical Branch:
1.Direct Entry Scheme
2.University Entry scheme

You will be posted as an Aeronautical engineer who monitors the signals of flight. This also is notified in employment news, and conducted twice a year.

Ground Duty Branch:
Will be posted in Meterological Branch as an officer

For all the above posts, advt. are notified in employment news .
Qualification: B.E in any stream with maths, physics at +2 level and You should have obtainedd 60% in B.E. without any arrears.

Hello friend,
If you are willing to join Indian Airforce as Flying officer, you will need to write Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE) conducted by UPSC twice a year in the month of May and October.
The minimum educational qualification required to write the exam is a bachelor's degree from a recognised institute (with physics and mathematics at 10+2 level) or bachelor of engineering.
The minimum eligible age is 19 years and the maximum eligible age is 23 years.
The written examination is followed by an interview conducted by service selection board.

Apart from Flying branch, one can also join the Technical branch as an Aeronautical engineer through direct entry scheme. The minimum eduacational qualification required to join is a degree in engineering in any of the following stream
Electronics
Telecommunications
Electrical
Electrical Communication
Electronics and Communication
Computer Science and Engineering
Aeronautical
Mechanical
Production
Industrial Production

The minimum eligible age to join the technical branch of IAF is 18 years and the maximum eligible age is 28 years.

Yes, you can certainly join the Indian Air Force as an officer. With your BTech
degree, you will be eligible for the Flying Branch. There are three modes of
entry for engineers. You will need to

(i) Take the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE) for a Permanent
Commission with the IAF

OR

(ii) Seek entry through the National Cadet Corps Special Entry (Through CO NCC Unit/DG NCC ); this again is for a Permanent Commission

OR

(iii)enter as Flying (Pilot) for Short Service Commission (both men & women)
with Term of Engagement of 14 Years.

First of all no need to give example, because anyone who joins IAF or any Defence service as an Ofiicer will start from vey begining post that is Flying Officer (IAF), Lieutinent (INA), Sub-Lieutinent (INS).

However, there is not much oppurtunity for IT Engineers. So basically you have following oppurtunities available:-

UES (Both SCC & Permanent Commission are included): university entry scheme,is meant for all male and female candidates those who have attend there first university degree, that is (Bachelor degree) or B.tech. Notification for it are released In Employment news, generally in April-May-September. So, start reading it from now it will be very helpful.

CDS:
combined defense service,an entrance conducted by upsc (http://upsc.gov.in)twice every year, for entry into IAF.INS and IN.Minimum eligibility criteria for it is the candidate must have passed bachelor degree from any stream (But have studied Msths & Physics at +2),however age limit for it also is 23 years. It is held twice a year. Notification generally in the month of April-September in Employment NEWS. So, start reading it from now it will be very helpful.

NCC Special Entry Echeme: This scheme is meant for all those who have acquired NCC "C" certificate after two years in it at senior level.Qualification must be anything Bachelor in any field or Engineering. This entry scheme occurs when required, therefore keep reading Employment news always. So, start reading it from now it will be very helpful.
