dear friend,

you can write GATE as many time as you want.

there is no limit for writing GATE,but you should be a engineering graduate from a recognised university.

from this year again GATE score card is valid for 2 years.

GATE i.e Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

It is an all India examination administered and conducted Jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and Seven Indian Institute of Technology.GATE is Conducted through the constitution of eight zones.

Number of times that a candidate can appear for GATE Exam?

There is no age limits for this examination and there is no no.of times of this examination.You can attempt no.of times of this examination.

Eligibility for GATE Examination :-

• Bachelor degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture from any recognized university or equivalent qualification and those in the final year of graduate degree can also apply for this examination.
• Master degree in any branch of Science/Statistics/Mathematics/Computer Application from any recognized university or equivalent qualification and those in the final year of a post graduate degree can also apply for this examination.

I think there is no limit for gate exam both in sense of number of attempts and age limit.

GATE Examination Details:

1. The examination is a single paper of 3 hours duration and consists of 65 Questions with Maximum of 100 Marks.
2. You have to opt for your subject and study as per the syllabus mentioned in the GATE brochure.
3. The subjects of our interest are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering., Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering. Other subjects are also available such as Mathematics, Physics, etc.
4. Results of qualified candidates in GATE will give All India Rank and indicate percentile score. For example, a percentile score of 99 means you are in the top 1% category of the candidates who appeared for GATE.
5. Candidates who get less than 70 percentile get no score card.
6. GATE scores are valid for 2 years. You may reappear the GATE exam if you are not satisfied with the earlier score and the new score (if better than the old one) will be used for admission purposes.

There is no type of restriction for GATE exam, like age, Number of Attempts.
There is only restriction is candidate should complete graduation degree in Engineering/Architecture/statistic/Computer application.

but you give this exam,
*Candidate must be an INDIAN
*There is no age limit for give this exam
*There is no restriction of times for exam.

So but candidate possess minimum B.TECH degree then you are eligible for
GATE exam..............
If you get a good rank in GATE then you are able to find a seat in IIT.........

There is no limitation for attempts in gate exam. So you can attempt as many you can. You can attend in whatever age you want. You should complete your graduation.

There is no limitation for the candidates in appearing the GATE exam.So a candidate can appear in this exam as many times as he/she wants.

Hi.

GATE exam requires the following eligibility :

1. You should be a graduate from a recognized university.
2. You should have a minimum % of 60%
3. There is not limit as such for the GATE exam

And once you give the exam, your score would be valid for 2 years.

I would like to know if I attempted it thrice and my best score was in my first attempt, which score will be considered??
Will the best score be considered irrespective of the no. of attempts??

There is no limit for apply for gate exam,one candidate can apply any number of times for gate exam.
