Re: Subjects to be chosen after 12th to become an IPS officer?
My friend, it does not matter whether you graduate in arts, commerce or science stream. All you need is graduation degree to apply for Indian Police Service. Therefore choose any stream that you find easy. There is no pressure on you.
Like I said the criteria is graduation degree. Now the stream does not matter, neither percentage. Only a graduation degree is required. Once you have obtained it, you will be able to apply for the Indian Police Service. You should focus more towards, physical aspects of the IPS Exam rather than academic. To be eligible for the Indian Police Service, you will have to meet certain physical criteria. Make sure you are meeting it before applying. IPS Eligibility 1. You should be of Indian origin. 2. A graduation degree in any stream. 3. No criteria of percentage in graduation. Age Limit 1. For General - 21 to 30 years. 2. Five years relaxation for SC/ST. 3. Three years relaxation for OBC. Physical Requirements Height Male: 165 cm for General and 160 cm for ST. Female: 150 cm for General and 145 cm for ST. Eye Sight: 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye Candidate should not be suffering from color blindness or night blindness. Chest: Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm |
