Re: What to choose in 11th in order to become a Pilot?
Well for becoming pilot you have to trace your path like aiming at Engineering.
In lay man terms you have to opt for 'Pure Science' in your +2 for exploring your career as a Pilot. Pure Science: this contains subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics popularly known as PCM + further 2 - 3 subject out of which one should be language etc. that doesn't matters. The thing makes it 'Pure Science' is Mathematics. Why Pure Science? Minimum eligibility criteria for getting Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) which is mandatory for becoming Pilot is such that candidate must be12th pass with at least 60% aggregate and must also have studied Mathematics and Physics, means Pure science students. Even student of Impure Science stream (PCB) can opt for it if he/she has studied and passed in Mathematics too, no matter even if Maths was his/her optional subject. These days best of 5 or Best of 4 are taken into consideration. So no issue. Infact many MBBS Doctors have becom Pilot. Regards ~Faiyaz~ |

Re: What to choose in 11th in order to become a Pilot?
To become a pilot, aspirants need to join Air flying schools after completion of 10+2, they should pass the 10+2 exam with physic, chemistry, math. Minimum marks should be 50%.So, you have to complete 10+2 to appear for any pilot training ....
They need to clear the entrance test exam of the flying schools in India, they also need to clear the physical fitness (Which is tough one). Only totally fit person can get opportunity to get admission in flying schools. Don’t confuse with the job of pilot of Indian air Force. IAF pilot is selected through NDA exam, training is free!!!!! But if opt for private training it will be very costly.... |

Continue what you are doing there is no specific subject that you must know before joining for pilot training.
If you are planning to join trough NDA the you should have science as you main stream. If you are trying to join an flying school then any subject will be good. ALL THE BEST |

If you want to become a pilot , then you have to face physics , otherwise not possible.
Minimum eligibility is 50% in PCM. Join Air flying school after 12th to become a pilot of commercial flights or if you to join NAVY, then give exam of NDA. |

for become a pilot after 12th , you must have to complete your 12th in PCM group (physics, chemistry, maths) with at least 60%, for being eligible for NDA examination. this exam is conducted by UPSC (union public service commission) every year for two times. the age limit for this exam is 16.5-19.there is nothing about any age relaxation for scheduled caste \tribes. there are total 300 vacancies are available through NDA (army-195.navy-39,air force-66). thanks!! |

Re: What to choose in 11th in order to become a Pilot?
Unfortunately you will have to take Physics, even if you are not good at it. If you face trouble, try getting some coaching or tuition for Physics. It will help you understand the subject.
To become commercial pilot, it is absolutely necessary to take Physics, Chemistry and Maths as subjects in 12th standard. Unless you won't be able to go forward with the course. I should also point out that commercial pilot course is very expensive course. You will have to spend more than 15 lakhs to become the pilot. However the money spend is worth it since the pilots get handsome salary with additional perks. Below is the entire procedure to become commercial pilot. Eligibility 1. You should have completed 12th standard. 2. Subjects should be Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 3. 50 percent or more marks in 12th. 4. The age limit is 18 to 30 years to apply. Physical Criteria 1. The minimum height to become pilot is 5 feet. 2. You should not have fear of heights. 3. Must not be suffering from any mental condition. 4. 6/6 vision is required. 5. The vision can only be corrected through glasses. No contact lenses. Student’s Pilot Licence Obtaining the Student’s Pilot Licence is the first step. You can apply for it soon after finishing 10th standard. There is only a need to clear basic mathematic test on various aspects of aircraft and score 75 percent marks in it. Private Pilot Licence You can only apply for it after finishing 12th with the criteria mentioned above. During the course of training you will gain experience of 40 hours of flying with an instructor and later 20 hours of solo flying. The flying lessons are followed by a written test. Commercial Pilot Licence Last stage is the Commercial Pilot Licence. You should have the above licences to apply for it. In order to get the Commercial Pilot Licence, you will have to gain 250 hours of flying experience. This is followed by various written tests and a medical test conducted by doctors assigned by the Director General Civil Aviation (DGCA). |

Re: What to choose in 11th in order to become a Pilot?
You must opt for Physics, Chemistry and Maths if you are aiming to become Pilot.
Physics and Maths are most important subjects if you are willing to become a Pilot in future. After 10+2 with PCM you can apply for NDA examination to join Air Force as Pilot. Age should be between 16.5 to 19 years and you must be an unmarried male of India for NDA examination. Examination Pattern: You have to appear for a written exam and SSB Interview. If you score in merit then you will be selected for NDA. So start your preparation for NDA examination by keeping in mind above syllabus. Also note that eyesight should be 6/6 if you want to become Pilot and there will be no relaxation in eyesight for Pilot. For more information visit http://www.upsc.gov.in |

for pilot you have to go for physics, chemistry and maths, for getting your commercial pilot license the minimum requirement is 12th standard with minimum 60% in pcm, so even though you don't like physics, you will have to read physics equally as other subjects if you want to be a pliot, so start loving physics, because a trouble of few months can pay you handsomely as pilots get a very good salary all the best |

Candidates those have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and having age of seventeen years or above are eligible for Commercial Pilot training course. Candidates have to complete 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as a main subjects to be eligible for aeronautical courses. Even course involves intense application of Physics and Mathematics therefore candidates are also expected to be well conversed with them.
