why to prepare for ies exam? what should i do to prepare for ies exam?

This exam is one of the exams conducted by the UPSC. It is considered to be a challenging exam. It will test you on various areas. As part of the prelims you need be thorough in general knowledge area. Also you need to start preparing for any of the optional subjects in the list. You need clear the prelims to appear for the mains and then attend an interview. Solve as many previous year paper and read the newspaper daily.

The IES or Indian Engineering Services exam is conducted by the UPSC every year for the recruitment of engineering graduates to different Govt engineering services.

As the seats are limited the competition is quite tough to crack the exam.

Four branches of engineering are eligible to apply for this exam namely: Civil, Electrical, Electronics and mechanical.
