Re: Can I apply for IAS, IPS and group exams being a open degree graduate?
If you have a degree from a recognized open university in distance mode, then surely you will be eligible for IAS, IPS and all other group exams. Only a recognized degree is required for government jobs like IAS and IPS.
Only in case of private jobs, open degree will create problems, as most of the MNCs, specially from US don't consider open degrees. |

Yes, if you are pursuing your degree in open course you are eligible to appear for Civil Service examination.
Civil Service examination is conducted by UPSC. The examination is conducted every year. The eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline from recognised university. The age limit is 21-32 years with relaxation for reserved category. So, you just need to prepare for entrance examination to qualify in all three stages of examination. Candidates after qualifying in all three stages are eligible for final recruitment. For more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |
