I wish to become a CID Officer. Which entrance exam should i write to become a cid officer? Also tell me about the physical standards set for the post of CID officer? Please reply.

If you have qualify in below given stages then you are eligible for the post of CID recruitment exam.

1)SSC CGL Tier I

2)SSC CGL Tier II

3)Computer test

3)Medical test

Eligibility criteria for CID exam:-

Candidates completed or final year of graduation degree from a recognized university.

Age criteria:-

Your age should be in between 18 to 27 years.

CID , Physical Standard for Male Candidate :-

i) Physical Standards ( Minimum )

Height 157.5 cms.
Chest 81 cms. ( expanded of 5 cms. )

ii) SSC Physical Test :

Walking : 1600 metres in 15 minutes.
Cycling : 8 Kms. In 30 minutes.

CID , Physical Standard for Female Candidate :-

i) Physical standards ( Minimum )
Height 152 cms.
Weight 48 Kgs.

ii) Physical Test

Walking : 1 Km. in 20 minutes.
Cycling : 3 Kms. in 25 minutes.

c) Vision :

Eye-sight ( with or without glasses )
Distant vision : 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye.
Near vision 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye.

How to Become CID officer:

To become an officer in Criminal Investigation Department, you are required to follow the below instructions. CID (Criminal Investigation Department) is a wing in every state police, so one need to appear in Civil Service Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission to become a CID Officer. The basic educational qualification required to be eligible for appearing in Civil Services Examination (CSAT) is "Bachelor Degree" or a Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. As the basic qualification required is Graduation, make sure you successfully pass the required qualification.

Physical Standards Required to get job in CID Department:

@ Minimum Height Required for CID officer (MALE) - 165 cms

@ Minimum Height Required for CID officer (FEMALE) - 150 cms

@ Minimum Chest Required for CID officer - 76 cms

@ Distant Vision: 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other eye

@ Near Vision: 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye

CID Stands For Crime Investigation Department. It Is A Crime Detecting Agency Which Comes Under The Government Of India.

The basic qualification for this course is a pass in class 10 + 2 with the arts or science. For candidates with a legal background, special courses in criminology are available.

The role requires an accurate look of details, excellent memory, good judgment of character and experience working alone and as part of a team of other officers.
