Hello, I am preparing for UPSC Indian Economic Service written exam. I want to know if I am unable to qualify in this year then for how many years I can give this IES written test? I want to know the attempts available for me.

Number of Attempts available in UPSC Indian Economic Service Written Examination:

There is a certain limit on attempting Indian Economic Service Written Examination that is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. Hence, you are required to make sure you get selected within the number of attempts allowed and mentioned below according to the official information.

Maximum number of permissible attempts to appear in Indian Economic Services Examination are,

> For General Category - 4 attempts

> For OBC Category - 7 attempts

> For SC/ ST Category - No Limit

The minimum age require for Indian Economic Service recruitment is 21 years and the maximum age must not exceed 30 years in order to be eligible and there will be relaxation for reserved category candidates.
