You have to join NIOS ( National Institute of Open Schooling ).

To get admission in NIOS just follow the following procedure :
  • First of all just visit your regional NIOS office and get the admission form from there.
  • Now just fill the form and submit it to the office.
  • You have to pay prescribed fee at the time of form submission.
  • After completing the procedure you will be registered yourself for 12th private exam.
  • Now, you can appear for 12th exam as private candidate.

As you have not mentioned that from which board you are currently pursuing or to which board you want to appear as a private candidate for, it is quite difficult to let you know the procedure for each and every board.

There are basically not much difference in the procedures or steps to be followed to be able to appear as a private candidate.

However, below I am mentioning the steps to be followed in order for a candidate willing to appear as a Private candidate.

Procedure to apply for 12th board exams as a Private Candidate;

> To complete Class 12th privately via CBSE, you need to pass Class 10th first;

> You can choose the subjects according to your will.

> The datesheet for CBSE regular and private is the same.

> The question papers are also same as the regular board exams.

> You will have a single marksheet which would be same as the regular board exams marksheet.

> The results will be declared on the same day as the regular exams.

> To appear in 12th CBSE as a private candidate, you are required to purchase the application form for private candidate.

> The cost of the application form is around Rs.10/-.

> The application forms are made available in some selective branches of Syndicate Bank.

> You can purchase the application form during the bank working hours.
