Kerala Law Entrance Examination, KLEE, is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination under Government of Kerala. The exam is carried out for the admission purpose of law aspirants in the various law institutes in Kerala. The exam is carried out for the undergraduates and postgraduate programs of legal education and numerous colleges across Kerala take the score as the eligibility for the final counseling of the selection purpose.

Structure of KLEE

The exam is of objective mode constitute of 200 questions. The candidates are asked to select the answer from the given options and there is a negative marking for every wrong answer. The duration of the exam is set to be 180 minutes. The questions cover the area of English, General awareness, reasoning and aptitude.

Eligibility Criteria for KLEE

The eligibility criteria varies according to the program opted by the candidates.

• Three Years LLB: Gradates with not less than 45% marks (40% for the reservation category) from the recognized university.
• Five Years LLB: Plus two pass-out from the recognized higher secondary board with 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
• LLM and Master of Business Law Courses: The eligibility for applying these courses is set to be the graduation in 3year or 5 year LLB program.

There is considerable seat reservation for the eligible category.

How to Apply?

The aspirants need to take care of the notification comes in the newspaper or in the employment news. They can get the application form with the prospectus from the admission office of the entrance examination or from the colleges. The student can also have an option to download it from the official website http://keralalawacademy.in/downloads/application.pdf  . The applicant should submit the filled form along with the fee, Rs.600/- for the general candidates and Rs.300/- for the reservation category, to be send to the set address before the deadline.

How to fill the Form?

The student can either go for the online or offline mode for filing the application form. In the online form the instructions are provided as commands and you need to enter the correct applicable information. After submitting the form doesn’t forget to take the printout of the filled form for the future referrals.

The offline users should carefully follow the instructions given in the prospectus. You have to use the pencil or pen to fill the respective columns. Do not make any mistake while filling it may cause you to restrict for the exam. It will be a good idea if you take the copy of the form and practice in those before going to fill the original. All the needed documents should be sending along with the application form.

Cutoff for KLEE

The cutoff is different for different courses and it also varies in each year. Generally the student scores above 60% will consider for the counseling process. The cutoff mark can vary according to the institution opted by the students.

The score is valid for the present academic year that is the Validity of KLEE score is one year.
