Procedure to obtain A.M.I.E certification
Diploma holders as well as 10 + 2 passed candidates can join Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (A.M.I.E) certification program. Eligible candidates must register initially with the Institution of Engineers (India).The registration process is called membership registration, and the candidate should submit an application for the purpose. Registered candidates are only eligible to appear for A.M.I.E examinations conducted by the Institution of Engineers (India). Candidates who pass this examination successfully are given A.M.I.E certification.
Membership Registration
Membership Registration is the first step in joining AMIE. Registered candidates are considered as a member of Institution of Engineers (India). Such candidates are only entitled to attend the examination conducted by the institution. Based on the qualification of the candidate two type of membership are possible.
- Senior Technician membership
- Technician membership
Those who have completed diploma course in engineering can opt for Senior Technician membership, where as 10 + 2 passed candidates can have technician membership.
Application Process for Membership Registration
Candidate should submit a filled up membership form for membership registration. The form can be collected either from the official portal of Institution of Engineers or through post. Those who wish to collect the membership form through online method, should pay Rs. 370/- through credit card. To receive the membership form via post, candidate should send a Demand Draft of Rs. 375 taken in favor of ‘The Institution of Engineers (India)’ payable at Kolkata.
Once the membership form is received, it must be filled up correctly. Before submitting the application form, candidate should pay their membership registration fee of Rs 5300/-. This can be paid in the form of DD taken from any of the nationalized banks of the country. DD must be taken in the name of ‘The Institution of Engineers (India)’ payable at Kolkata. Filled up application must be sent to the mentioned address along with the following documents.
- Four passport size photographs
- Attested copy of Matriculation/School leaving certificate and +2/HSC certificate (if applicable)
- Diploma holders can send attested copy of you Diploma certificate and marks sheet (if applicable)
- Demand draft of Rs 5300/- .
After obtaining membership, candidate can appear for AMIE examinations. These exams are conducted twice a year, during the months of June and December. The examination consists of two sections, section A and section B. Those who clear both the sections will be awarded Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (A.M.I.E) certification by the Institution of Engineers (India).

I need ur help in the following pbm i am facing now.. My reg number T-1544504 , now i completed my 6 subject in sec b.. The pbm is that my sec A certificate get dirt from some paints.. How can i get a duplicate SEC A pass certificate? what are the procedures ?
