Oral Surgeon - How to Become an Oral Surgeon?
Oral Surgeons are those who are experts in dental surgery. To be an eligible dental surgeon one should have completed their course from a recognized dental college. The field of dental surgery has a wide scope thereby offering a lot of opportunities for the aspirants entering this field. It is a rewarding career which offers best salary packages that attracts more candidates to this field. They play a vital role in our society. There are a lot of job opportunities available for an Oral Surgeon in private as well as public undertakings. Once they meet the eligible criteria to be a good Oral Surgeon, they have a lot of job opportunities available in abroad also.
Qualifying Exam
An aspirant in this field should attend schooling in any dental school for at least 8 years. They can do a course in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) depending on the depth of practice expected in dental surgery section.
Who is eligible to apply?
The aspirant should be an Indian. The foreign candidates with the recommended details can also apply. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized University in India. The aspirants should score at least 65% marks in the 10th standard and also in the plus two or equivalent exam. They should have scored good marks in the Bachelor’s degree also. The candidates should also produce his residence certificate and other required documents required at the specified time.
How to prepare for exam and interview?
The candidate who is going to attend the written exam must be prepared well in advance. The candidate must be thorough in the related topics. The candidate must manage the time effectively during the preparation of the exam as well as at the time of exam. The plan should be good enough so that they can spend more time on difficult portions and also allot some time for revision. They must have deep knowledge in the subject so as to answer questions during the interview. They must expect personal questions also and also questions which checks one’s practical knowledge. So they need to be well prepared in those areas also. The candidates should always maintain a good confidence level throughout the interview.
