I'm persuing diploma in IT. this is my last year..........
so i'm eligible for this or not???????//

No diploma students are not eligible for GATE.

Eligibility for GATE Exam:

• **either Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture
• **either Master degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications
• **either Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology

only these candidates can apply ..

Eligibility for gate exam:-

You have to compleate Engineering or final year Master degree holders.

Diploma students are not illegible for GATE entrance exam. Only graduate engineers, Master defree holders in science,mathenatics,staticsstics or computer applications are illegible to appear for GATE

Yes,You are eligible for GATE exam.

The eligibility criteria for GATE exam:-

(a) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent.

(b) Bachelor’s degree holders in Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Electronics/ followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE.

(c) Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture/Design (for M Des program only)

(d) Master’s degree holders in Physics with Electronics/Instrumentation (for M Tech programs).

Only final year and pass out batch are eligible for GATE exam.

3rd year student are not eligible for GATE exam.

There are no age criteria also there are no limitation for attempts for GATE exam

GATE Eligibility

The candidates with following academic background are eligible to appear in GATE 2011 Examination:
Bachelor's degree holders Engineering/ Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

GATE is for B.Tech students.Only B.Tech final year students are eligible for GATE-2012. Diploma students are not eligible for GATE examination. Diploma students need to complete B.Tech after their diploma. Then in B.Tech final year you can appear for GATE

the GATE exams in only for the Technical graduates or Master Science Garduates to take admission for M.Tech.

So you to firstly completed either b.tech or m.sc for taking admission through GATE.

Hello friend, GATE stands for graduation aptitude test for engineering. It is an entrance exam for m.tech degree.you are not eligible for gate entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for gate is b.tech/be or master degree graduation in any stream from any recognized university. There is no age limit for this exam.final year graduates are also apply. No diploma students are eligible to write GATE-2012.

No PRE-FINAL YEAR students are eligible to write GATE-2012.

The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear for GATE 2012:

* Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

* Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (Post-B.Sc./Post-Diploma) and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

* Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes.

* Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology.

* Candidates in the fourth or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme or Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.

* Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

Eligibility for GATE exam:-

1.The candidate must have complete the Bachelor degree in the fields like- Engineering/Technology/Architecture.
Or,
2.The candidate must have complete the master degree in the fields like- M.Sc/MBA/MCA.

3.The candidate can appear in GATE exam during the pre-final year or final year of graduation or post graduation.

4.There is no age limit to appear in GATE exam.

5.There is no number of attempt restriction.

6.The validity of GATE score is 2 years.

As you are in final year of diploma course, then you are not eligible for GATE exam.. For that you have to complete the B.tech/BE course..

am i eligible to appear gate exam when i am in third year of my btech .I have alrteady completed my diploma
