Sorry to let you know that being a commerce stream student in your higher secondary school degree you are not eligible for joining Indian Navy as well as Indian Air force.

But if you are interested in the defense field then you have the option of Indian Army with you for which you will have to clear the NDA examination.

NDA stands for National Defense Academy and the same examination is held twice every by Union Public Service Commission in two stages which are Written examination and Service selection board interview held in mentioned order.

The qualifications required for appearing in this examination are as here under :-

* You must have the nationality of India being an unmarried male.

* Your age must lie between 16.5 years to 19 years.

* You must have a higher secondary school degree with any discipline from a recognized university.

* You must be physically and mentally fit as per the service requirement norms.

Also you will have the option of CDS examination for joining Indian Army once you complete your bachelor degree course from a recognized university. For this examination, for Indian Army your age must be within 19 years to 24 years.

After completion of 12th standard, you can not join in Indian Navy through NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Service exam.

The candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard are also eligible for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19.5 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

In the Indian Army which has been conducted the NDA entrance exam for the selection of students of students which has been conducted by the UPSC department

Eligibility for the NDA:
1. Candidate must have 10th or 12th with science with at least 60% marks
2. Age must be between the 16.5 to 19 years.
3. Indian citizen

But you can not apply for the NDA entrance exam after the 12th passed..
So you can apply for the Indian Army after the graduation through the CDS entrance exam..

CDS entrance exam eligibility:

1. should be passed the graduation with at least 65% marks from any recognized university
2. Age must be between the 19 to 25 years.
3. Indian citizen
4. Physical and medical fitness

NDA stands for National Defence Academy located in Pune, Maharashtra.

As per the notifications of NDA Exam,

• Commerce or art stream candidates can apply for Army wing of NDA only.
  
• While, PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) candidates can apply for Army, Navy, Air Force wing of NDA.

As you are a commerce stream candidate, so you cannot apply for Navy wing of NDA.

However, you can apply for Army wing of NDA.

Last date to apply for NDA II Exam is passed now.
