Re: Can I apply for Bank clerk after passing 12th with 53%?
Dear Friend,
As you have passed your 12th with just 53% marks its quite impossible for you to be eligible to apply for the Bank clerical Exam. The minimum % of marks required to be eligible for the same is 55% from any recognized board. Also , if you want to appear in SBI , then the minimum % of marks is 60%. Only in one case you can apply if you belong to any one of the reserved categories. As there is relaxation for them. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: Can I apply for Bank clerk after passing 12th with 53%?
Unfortunately your qualification is not enough to apply for the Bank Clerk exam. Since you have only completed 12th standard, you are not eligible for the IBPS Clerk entrance exam.
You will not be allowed to appear untill you have a graduation degree. Therefore if you are really very much interested in banking job then you should consider graduating. Without graduating you can not appear for the Clerk exam by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services. The IBPS has recently made changes that do not allow 12th pass candidate to appear for the exam. You will have to graduate to apply for the exam. These days even reserve category students are not given exemption in qualification. Only when you have completed graduation you can apply for the IBPS Clerk exam which is conducted twice in a year. Eligibility 1. Any graduation degree is required for IBPS Clerk exam. 2. You will also need diploma or degree in Computers. 3. You can also apply if Computers/IT was subject in High School or college. 4. You should have good command over the official language of the state where you want banking job. 5. Age should not be less than 20 years or more than 28 years. 6. As per government norms, OBC can appear till 31 years. 7. Being SC/ST means 5 years relaxation in upper age limit. 8. PWD will get 10 years relaxation. 19 PSU Banks Allahabad Bank Andhra Bank Bank of Baroda Bank of Maharashtra Bank of India Central Bank of India Canara Bank Dena Bank Corporation Bank Indian Overseas Bank Indian Bank Punjab National Bank Oriental Bank of Commerce Syndicate Bank Punjab & Sind Bank United Bank of India Union Bank of India Vijaya Bank UCO Bank |

Re: Can I apply for Bank clerk after passing 12th with 53%?
SBI Clerk Examination is the only bank exam one can apply for with H.S. result. But unfortunately the marks that you have secured at H.S. level is not enough for applying for this post. For general category candidates 60% is must. Even for SC/ST/PWD Candidates the percentage to acquire is 55%.
There is nothing to be worried about though. Because the same exam criteria gets satisfied once you complete graduation in any discipline of your choice. Then on getting just the pass marks you can easily apply for this exam. The degree needs to be attained from a recognized university. Even candidates who have not passed HS but has a diploma degree at hand which has not been correspondence can apply provided the duration of the course is not less than two years. In this case too 60% of marks is required. So my advice would be that you should complete graduation first in any discipline of your choice and side by side take preparations for this examination. Remember that the lower age limit for this exam is 18 and upper age limit is 28 years. On completing graduation you can also then apply for the IBPS Clerk Exam whose qualification criteria has been changed recently from HS to graduation. IBPS now conducts the CWE exam not only for the post of clerical cadres but also for PO, specialist officers, management trainee. Though for the IBPS Clerk Exam the qualification criteria has changed but the age criteria remains unchanged. Lower age limit is 20 years and upper age limit is 28 years. There is no change over there. The validity of the score card is one year. Hope this helps :-> :-> |
