can i apply UPSC or CDS exam at the age of 26 in indian army, specially in army not in navy or airforce?

Your eligibility will depend on your qualification. For most graduates the upper age limit to join is 25 years. For engineers joining through the TGC scheme the upper age limit is 27 years. Also applicants must submit adequate documents at the time of joining. Age must match with that included in matriculation certificate.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service . UPSC Conduct CDS Examination for twice in a year .

CDS exam is conduct for following branch-

Indian Military Academy
Air Force Academy
Naval Academy
Officers' Training Academy

Educational Qualification:-

If you have completed graduation degree then you are applicable for CDS exam.Because the minimum Qualification is required for CDS exam is Graduate .

Age Criteria:-

Indian Military Academy: - 19-24 Years
Air Force Academy: - 19-23 Years
Naval Academy: - 19-22 Years
Officer's Training Academy: - 19-25 Years

No , You are not applicable for CDS exam because your age is now 26 years old which is over age as CDS age criteria .

Unmarried candidate are applicable for CDS exam.You must have citizenship of India .

COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for C.D.S exam at age of 26 year.

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

Age limit for C.D.S exam is 19-24 year.

In C.D.S exam unmarried Male and female are eligible.

You have to qualify the three stage of selection:-
> Written exam
> Interview
> Medical Exam

You cannot apply for the CDS exams any more as you are 26 years old.

Below is the age band to apply to the CDS exams:
IMA- Between 19- 24 years
OTA Between 19- 25 years
NAVY - Between 19- 22 years
AIR FORCE - Between 19- 23 years

BUT you can apply for the UPSC Civil services Exams if you meet the below eligibility:

Education: Graduation pass in any stream from a recognized university
No minimum percentage of marks is required in Graduation

Age- Minimum 21 years
Maximum 30 years
OBC can apply till 33 years
SC/ST can apply till 35 years

I am sorry to say that you can not apply for CDS exam.

CDS stands for Combined Defense Service.

The age limit for CDS exam is 19-24 years.

But you can go for the UPSC exams whose main age limit is around 21-30 years.

But you can only apply if you meet the other necessary criteria.

If you have completed graduation degree in any Discipline from Recognized Universities then you are eligible for it.....

Final years students also eligible for it.....


Age limit:

Indian Military Academy : 19-24 Years

Air Force Academy : 19-23 Years

Naval Academy : 19-22 Years

Officers’ Training Academy :19-25 Years.

Citizenship of india....

Only Unmarried Male can Apply for it...

The abbreviation of UPSC is Union Pblic Service Commission.

The abbreviation of CDS is Combined Defense Services.



It is pitiable for you that you aren't preferable for CDS exam.

CDS and NDA exams are organized by UPSC every year.

The age criteria regarding with NDA exam is 16.5-19 years.

The age criteria regarding with CDS exam for Army wing is 19-24 years.

Well first of all UPSC is not any examination..

It's name of a commission which is responsible for conducting many examinations at Union level..

And it depends on your educational qualifications that whether you qualify or not.

And About CDS...

According to rules and regulations of CDS you are not eligible for this examination as your age exceeds 24..

So, i am sorry to say that You are not eligible for CDS..

So, better try for Civil services examinations..

19-23 years for airforce
19-22 years for navy
the upper limit of military increases to 27 years in case of an engineer so according to your qualification also it will vary.
you have to apply with your matriculation intermediate graduation and other qualification certificates if any.

The acronym for CDS is Combined Defence Services.

First of all, I would like to inform you that UPSC is not an examination. CDS examination is taken for defence sector jobs and CDS examination is conducted by UPSC(union Public Service Commission).

Sorry to say that you are not eligible for CDS examination according to your present age.

CDS examination is conducted for these wings:-

* Indian Air Force Academy.

* Indian Naval academy.

* Indian Military/Army Academy.

* Officer's Training Academy.

The eligibility criteria required for the CDS examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of graduation in any discipline from any accredited college or university.
