Afcat eligibility criteria : there is different branches. 1.ground duty branches 2.flying branch 3.technical branch ground duty branch : the candidates who wish to apply for this should between 20 - 27 yrs and the candidates have the pg or bachelor degree in any subject with at least 60%. flying branch : the applicant should have a minimum 19 - 23 yrs.the candidate must have the B.E/B.Tech degree or graduate in any disciplane with the minimum 60%. Eligibility Criteria for AFCAT -
The eligiblity creteria are vary from post to post. So if you are intrested to apply for AFCAT Exams, then please check these given eligiblity Creteria - For Ground Duty Branches – You should have the PG or Bachelor degree in any subject with at least 60% aggregate marks. And your age should between 20 to 27 years to apply for this branch. For Flying Branch – You must have the B.E / B.Tech degree or a Graduate in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks. And your age is between 19 to 23 years only then you are eligible to apply for this post. For Technical Branch – For this, You should be of 18-28 years of age and You should have complete your Aeronautical Engineering with minimum 60% marks. Both Male and Female are eligible to apply for AFCAT 2011 Examination. So, if you have Fullfill the Eligiblity Creteria, then please apply for This exams. |

AFCAT or Air Force Common Admission Test is necessary exam which candidates have to take for joining the Air Force.

Air Force Common Admission Test is conducted for the admission for the course which will be commence in January of next year for grant of Short Service Commission SSC / Regular in Technical and Ground Duty Branches for Male & Female candidates. Flying branch
You can take the Combined Defence Services Examination (written test conducted by UPSC) to join the Flying branch of the Indian Air Force. Men can join the Air Force through this mode of entry and will be given a Permanent Commission. For applying through any of the entry points mentioned above, you must fulfil the following eligibility criteria: Age 19 to 23 years Marital Status Single Gender for men only. Educational Qualifications Graduate ( Three Year Course ) in any discipline from a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) / BE / B Tech( Four Year Course) . Final Year students can also apply, provided thay donot have any backlog. No Percentage Bar for CDSE entry. of candidates into the various branched of the IAF. Air Force Entrance Exam which is going to Held on 27th of March is Air Force Common Entrance Test. Its a common Entrance test for Flying Branch, Technical Branch, Ground Duty officer You need to be 60% aggregate in all your Years in graduation. (More Details See the Notification) Syllabus For Common Entrance Test !! Syllabus Consists of Reasoning, Verbal ability, General Awareness , Numerical ability & General Aptitude. Exam will be of 2 hrs Duration with Objective questions. Books For Reference:- R S Agarwal quantitative aptitude, For Gk. Go for manorama, Composition success Review magazine. AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test. Indian Air Force conducts this exam and by successfully cracking this exam you can enter any one of the following branches:-
Flying Branch: You need a bachelor's degree with not less than 60% of marks. You should have physics and mathematics at 10+2 level. Technical Branch: You need an Engineering Degree or B.Tech Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. 60% of marks needs to be secured at graduation level. There are several sub-categories of Ground Duty Branch:- i) Administration & Logistics Branch: You need a bachelor's degree with not less than 60% of marks or a post graduation degree with not less than 50% of marks. ii) Accounts Branch: You need to complete B.Com with not less than 60% of marks or M.Com with not less than 50% of marks. iii) Education Branch: You just need a post graduate degree with not less than 50% of marks in it. Age Criteria:- Flying branch: Age should be between 19 and 23 years. Technical branch: Age should be between 18 and 28 years. Ground Duty branch: Age should be between 20 and 27 years. Exam Pattern:- The total time duration for the exam is three hours and within this span of time you need to answer 100 questions. For each right answer you will get three marks and for each wrong answer you give, one mark will get deducted from your original score. You can join Air Force in following branches through AFCAT: -Flying Branch (Age should be between 19 to 23 years) -Technical Branch (Age should be between 19 to 28 years) -Ground Duty Branch (Age should be between 19 to 23 for Graduates) For upper qualification like Post Graduation the age limit is 19 to 25 years. The basic qualification for appearing in AFCAT is Graduation but if you are applying for Flying and Technical Branch then you must be from Maths and Physics field. The selection will be based on the performance in the Written Examination, SSB interview and medical examination. For Flying Branch there will be one more test which is PABT(Pilot Aptitude Battery Test) and you have to pass this test to join flying branch.
