hello sir, i'm studying b.tech third year. Can i know how much percentage should i need at the end of my b.tech to apply for CAT exam.

It depends on for which college you want to apply, but yes at least 50%. 50% is the minimum marks you require to apply for the CAT or equivalent examination.

For all IIMs, Candidates need to have a bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/ All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) with 60% as eligible for Post-Graduate Studies in Management. Students who are to qualify in the following year also can appear for CAT Exam.

U need atleast 50% if u belong to general category and 45% if u belong to sc,st,ph.

Well you are a student of B.TECH and now you are in third year when you will completed your B.TECH the aggreate of percentage is just 50%
It means when your aggreate percentage of 4 year is 50% you will be apply for CAT exam.
It means 1 year percentage+2 year percentage+3 year percentage+4 year percentage =50%

The eligibility criteria for cat:- educational qualification is graduation in any stream from any recognized university. The percentage required is 50%. For sc/st 45% is required. CAT Exam Details:-

$$ CAT stands for Common Admission Test and this exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management. CAT score is not only accepted by the IIM's but also by other such autonomous institutes as well.

$$ CAT exam is generally conducted in the month of October-November. They uses a 3-4 weeks window during this time to conduct the exam in multiple cities.

$$ This year CAT exam is going to be conducted between Oct 16 - Nov 11, 2013. The sale of vouchers will start from 29th July.

$$ You need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university to give this examination. The subject you choose at grad level is not much of importance here.

$$ You need to ensure at least 50% of marks at graduation level. SC/ST candidates needs to secure 45% of marks in aggregate instead.

$$ A final year student can also appear for this examination. But at the time of interview session mark sheets needs to be produced to prove that you have passed successfully.

$$ In the CAT written examination there will be two sections and from each section 30 questions will be asked and you will get 70 mins for each section.

$$ The two sections in the CAT Written exam are as followed:- Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning.

CAT exam require 50% marks in graduation from recognized university from any discipline .For SC/ST candidate marks required is 45% .Final year of graduation degree are applicable for CAT Exam .You can attempts here unlimited times , there is no restriction for attempts in CAT Exam .

No , B-Tech 3rd year candidate are not applicable for CAT exam but if you are in 7th semester of B-Tech then you are applicable for CAT exam.

The exam timing for CAT is 155 minutes. There will also be a penalty for wrong answer so at least try to answer those questions which you know. There are 60 questions in the test.
