Hello,
Can somebody tell me about what
are the qualifications necessary for
becoming a CBI Officer?
And I have to appear in any competitive exam?
If yes then please tell me about that competitive exam.

CBI i.e Central bureau of Investigation is one of the a specialized wing in India which
deals with many popular cases with police.

To join in CBI you need to write the CGPE Exam.

You should have passed graduation courses in Criminology for making yourself eligible for CBI

You should be between 20-25 years as on 1st January of the year of examination.

Syllabus for this exam:-

General Intelligence Reasoning

General Awareness

Numerical Aptitude

English Comprehension

Selection Process:-

Written test

Interview

Medical Test.

To become CBI officer, you must qualify the exam conducted by SSC.

Qualification required for CBI officer exam:

You must have Graduation from a recognized university.
Your age should be minimum of 21 years & maximum of age limit 27 years.

Selection Process for CBI Exam :-

Preliminary Exam (Tier I).
Mains Exam (Tier II).
Interview.
Medical Test.

Physical Requirements for the C.B.I Officer:-

Height:Your Height should not be less than 165 Cm for Men & 150 Cm for Females

Weight:Your Weight should be according to your Height .

Chest:Your Chest should be fully Expanded to 76 Cm in full respiration

Eye sight:Eye sight should be corrected to 6/6 in one eye & 6/9 in other eye

CBI stands for Central Bureau of Investigation.

To join CBI you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate Level preliminary exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.

Those candidate who have completed graduation degree from a recognized university with any discipline are eligible for CBI exam.

Your age should be in between 17 to 21 years. Age relaxation is provided for reserved category candidates.
