How to join IAF in the Technical Branch after Graduation?
IAF was officially organized in the year 1932. It plays a vital role in the Indian Defense Service. The IAF offers many career opportunities to the young aspiring candidates. A career in IAF is considered as one of the most prestigious jobs among the society.
Branches Available For the Candidates to Join In the IAF
The aspirants who wish to join in IAF have three choices to select their area of interest. They are
- Technical Branch
- Flying Branch
- Ground Duty Branches

- Air Force Administrative College, Coimbatore
- Air force Training Technical College, Jalahali
- Airmen Training School (ATS)
- College of Air warfare, Sikandrabad
- Communications Training Institute
- Electronics Training Institute
- Elementary Flying Training School, Beeder (AP)
- Paratrooper Training School, Agra
- The Administrative Training Institute
- The Electrical And Instrument Training Institute
- Workshop Training Institute
Qualification to Joining the Indian Air Force as Officer
For the entry in IAF as an officer, the candidates need to be a graduate or post graduate. Those appearing for the qualifying exams can also apply. They should have attained the age of 19 years and should not be more than 23 years.
The candidates interested in joining the technical branch can apply for any of the two streams - Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) or Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical). The engineering graduates are only eligible to apply for these.
The candidates applying for Aeronautical engineer in Electronics branch should satisfy any of the following qualification criteria
- Four year degree from any reputed university with not less than 60% in aggregate
- They must have cleared section A and B examination of the Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers
- They must have qualified section A and B examination of Aeronautical Society of India
- Cleared the graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers
The candidates applying for Aeronautical Engineer in Mechanical branch should satisfy any of the following
- Four year degree in related subjects from any reputed university with not less than 60% in aggregate
- They must have cleared section A and B examination of the Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers
- They must have qualified section A and B examination of Aeronautical Society of India

Selection procedure of the IAF
The selection procedure in IAF is done through scientific methods and thoroughly to filter out the best from a large number. This process consists of four steps
- Scrutiny of Applications
- Testing Officer Like Qualities
- Conducting of Medical Examinations
- Preparing All India Merit List
The qualified candidates will be instructed to join the IAF training as per the vacancies available.

on the top of this page there are given that the qualification to joining IAF must be 60% aggrigate means per subject 60% in each subject whatever we learn during btech or per sem.60% required .
and what is the selection procedure for those student whose marks are declared not in ” % ” but in ” cgpa “
