Most of the exams carried out by the UPC will have a written exam which includes questions at Graduate level. The civil Service exam will have a Preliminary Examination for the selection of candidates. The syllabus of the Preliminary will be from the graduation level syllabus. It will be mostly objective type question. The syllabus will include GK and awareness, English, quantitative, analysis aptitude etc. The candidates who have cleared the preliminary exam are only allowed to appear for the Main Examination. After qualifying the Main exam candidates will also have to go through the Interview process.
Set up a full proof study Plan
Candidates planning to appear for any of the UPSC entrance exam must put in lot of effort before the exam as to crack it. UPSC exam is not very easy to pass. But with a systematic and focused effort from the candidate’s part it will be quite easy to get qualified in each stages of the UPSC exam. Make a methodical plan which is realistically and achievable and fit your daily schedule. As to make the plan practical, students must study for the exam at their own pace. Only purchase standardized reference books for preparing for the exam. Create a self awareness about the overall syllabus included in each of the exam and prepare accordingly.
Ladders in preparing for the Exam
Time allocation for each if the syllabus must be sensible. Divide each of the sections in to different sittings. By dividing each of the sections candidates will be able to lay down clear goals. This will also help the candidates to work on the weaker sections in the syllabus. Don’t put yourself through long study sections. Take sensible breaks as to reduce stress level. Include a mixture of topics and activities as to reduce boredom. Candidate must also monitor their progress with regular mock tests.
