IAF Commissioned Officers 2012
Indian Air Force is one of the most reputed institutions in our country. They offer various career opportunities of the talented and challenging people who want to serve the country. Indian Air Force Commissioned Officers examination is an idea proposed by the Government of India so that the entry into the Indian air force is made simpler for the aspirants. The IAF Commissioned Officers entrance examination is conducted by Air Force department of India. Through this exam the candidates will selected to different courses under the IAF and after the training period they will placed into the Commissioned Officers post, The different streams offered are

The examination will conduct twice in a year on the month of March and July.
Structure of Indian Air Force Commissioned Officers examination
The question paper will consist of 100 questions with duration 120 minutes. The examination follows the MCQ format and the paper is divided into fours parts. The following are those areas,

The correct response will draw three marks and in case of any wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted from the total.

Eligibility Criteria
For Administrative and Logistics Branch
The minimum education qualification required is post gradation in either of the subjects English, Mathematics, Physics or Defense studies. The statistics, Psychology, Economics, computer science PG students is also eligible to apply for the examination. The MBA and Bachelor of Engineering student can also apply for the examination. The candidates must be unmarried male/female between the age 20-23.
For Education Branch
The MBA or equivalent holders and Bachelor of Law candidates from the recognized university can apply for the examination. The age limit ranges between 20 and 25 for taking the examination.
For Accounts Branch:
The graduates in accounting forms or the CA candidates can apply for this post. The candidates must have the degree form the recognized institute or university. The age limit it ranges between 20 and25.
The eligible candidates have to take the written examination and the qualified candidates of the written paper will call for the nest round of selection process, consist of eth personality test and interview.
How to Apply?
The application forms are available in the selected centers of IAF. The candidates can get the form from official site, http://www.careerairforce.nic.in/ and can download it from there. The candidates must dispatch the filled he examination center before the final dates
How to fill the Form?
The candidates must give extra attention while filling the application form. They must take care of the instruction given in the booklet and should read the guidance before filing the form. They can use a ball point pen for filling the form either blue or black. They have to enter the data in block letters and only enter the valid data, which is officially correct.
Take care of correctly entering options for applied post, category and post codes while filling the columns. They must paste the recent size photo at the required place and don’t forget to put signature at the needed place. After completing filling the form recheck the given data and ensure that you entered every needed information.

Study Plan
The candidates must have a sound study plan for making your career as a Commissioned officer in IAF. You will get the exam format from the previous year papers and also the different reference books. You have to update yourself with the current affairs of India as well as the world. You should have a habit of reading the newspapers, magazine and Journals etc. The numerical ability follows the school level syllabus and only thing you have to take care is the time. You have to solve maximum questions with in the given time frame. There are many referral books to guide you in each section available in the market place, make use of such materials. Online coaching center is also a great idea for preparing for the examination.
How and Where To Get the Results?
The examination result is available in the official website of IAF. They must give their roll number and DOB for getting the result. The selected candidates for the next round will get the invites for the further rounds by personal mail or post.
Score Validity
The score is valid till the announced seats are filled. The exam score never carry forward for the nest year.

i am pursuing course of B.SC Engg. degree in Electrical Engg. branch from BCE Bhagalpur(a govt. college in Bihar) The previous day i was debarred from appearing for SSB . According to UGC regulations B.TECH , B.E. and B.SC Engg. all are equivalent.All the three degrees are acceptable in all the govt. organizations including DRDO,ISRO,BARC,IES,NTPC,BHEL etc.Then why AFSB has debarred me from ssb despite of qualifying in EKT AND getting a call letter for the same? Would you please give an explanation? Hoping for a conducive reply.
