Reservation of vacancies for reserved category candidates will be done according to the rules of government.

Eligibility requirements:

Education: Candidates must be degree holders in any discipline from a recognized university.

Age: Age requirement as on the 1st of August 2012 is not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years.

About the examination

Civil Service Examination will be conducted in two stages namely preliminary examination and main examination. The date of preliminary examination is 20th of May 2012 and candidates clearing this examination will be called for main examination, which is planned to be held during the month of October/November 2012.

Fee:

All candidates except PH/ST/SC/Female candidates, are required to pay a fee of Rs.50 either by remitting the same in any braches of SBI in the form of cash or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/Travancore/Patiala/Mysore/Jaipur & Bikaner/Hyderabad with the help of debit card/master card/Visa card.

How to apply:

Candidates will have to apply online through the website of UPSC at http://upsconline.nic.in/ before the 5th of March 2012 up to 11.59 pm. Candidates meeting the eligibility requirement will be issued with an e-admission certificate, which will be made available in the website of UPSC three weeks before the date of preliminary examination.
