here i described full procedure and eligibility criteria to be eligible for NDA entrance exam...

Union Public Service Commission
invites applications from eligible
candidates for the admission to
Army, Navy and Air Force wings
of the NDA..

Eligibility Criteria for
National Defence Academy, 2012
:-

Candidate should be 10 + 2 for
Army wing of NDA , should be
12th passed with physics and
mathematics for Air Force and
Naval Wings of NDA and should
be 10+2 for Cadet Entry Scheme
at the Indian Naval Academy
Age limit of the candidate – Only
male candidates born not earlier
than 2nd January, 1994 and not
later than 1st July, 1996 are
eligible.

Candidates can apply on line on
the official website of Union
Public Service Commission UPSC.

so thus you can not be eligible to apply for NDA entrance exam directly after completion of your 10th class and hence you should have to do complete 10+2 class and then only you will be eligible for it...

No, Girls are not eligible to appear in NDA Entrance exams. Only Unmarried Males age between 17 to 19.5 years are eligible to appear in NDA Exams.

But the Girls Can Join Army with a Women Special Entry, and the Minimum requirement is First Class Graduate In any Stream.

So, dont worry You can apply after graduation for women's short service commission exams. So plrepare well for this exams, Because you have to clear the SSB Interview and Exams.

So, please concentrate on GD and Improve Your Communication skills. If you really want to join Women Short Service Commission.

Girls can be eligible to apply for NDA as it is only meant for male candidate.

NDA-NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having 12th exam appearing or pass from a recognised Board in any stream within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age is eligible to apply for NDA.

Girls can join Defence Sector after completion of Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years through CDS(Combined Defence Service) OTA(Officer's Training Academy) wing.

Sorrrrry..........This option is not for girls....They are not allowed to take NDA test. But you do have another option to entet into army. If you are a graduate, you can apply through OTA. For that you need to clear short service comission exam. Earliee this option was restricted to men. This is the only option by women can enter the army. CDSE conducts this exam. You can appear for it afer you turn 21 years. In this mean time, you should start preparing the same. You can collect all information regarding the same from official website......

You want to serve the nation , which is really appreciable,.
But I am very sorry to say that, girls are not eligible for the NDA [NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY] examination.

This examination is conducted by the UPSC [UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION],.
Only unmarried males are eligible for this examination within the age limit of 16.5-19 years.

The educational requirement for this examination is the 12th degree from the recognized board.


But the girls can apply for the Indian military & forces just after the completion of the graduation,.Though CDSE [COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAMINATION], also conducted by the UPSC.

For apply in Air force & NAVAL force, you must have subjects maths & physics in graduation with at least 60%.

The age limit for the AIR FORCE is 19-23 years,
for NAVAL -19-22 years,.
& for the Military force 19-25 years,..

Sorry to say !! But Girls can't Give NDA i.e National Defense Academy because its only Meant For boys.

Don't feel Bad, But there are other Entries which can be given in contrast to join Indian Army.

Entries are CDSE exam conducted by UPSC twice Every year and SSC i.e short Service Commission women(For this you need to keep tracking employment NEWS for Notification in the month of August End.)

You can Do it. You will face SSB after clearing CDSE or if you go for Direct Entry through SSC. Take coaching From some good institute Before GOING for ssb.

For both The entries you need to be graduate(as educational Qualification).

SORRY you cannot be appear for NDA as girls are not allowed to get into defense after 12 class. However, you can continue your dream to be a part of defense after graduation through various entries.
You can join OTA as an officer through CDSE entry. You can join IAF flying branch through SSC and AFCAT. You can be a ground officer in IAF through CET.
If you do your graduation in engineering then you can have opportunity to move to technical field through EKT.

the qualification for the NDA exam should be +2 with any stream.

Other criteria:

1. The candidate should be between 16-1/2 to 19 years of age

2. Your marital status should be single.

3. You should be a citizen of India.

So if you fulfil the criteria, you are eligible for NDA.


You are advised to keep Yourself in good physical condition, by following given Routine :

>> Running 2.4 km in 15 minutes
>> Skipping
>> Pushups and sit ups (minimum 20 each)
>> Chin ups (minimum 08)
>> Rope climbing - 3-4 metres.

Exam pattern:-
paper i is mathematics of 300 marks
paper ii is the general ability divided into two parts:-
part A is english of 200 marks
part B is general knowledge of 400 marks
so total 900 marks

Then there is the interview session which will yield you more marks

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The candidate should be citizen of india.

The candidate should complete the 12th standard from any recognized state board of india.

There is no minimum percentage required for the NDA exam.

The physics chemistry and mathematics subjects need for the indian air force and navy.

The candidate age limit should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

There is no upper age relaxation for the any other categories.

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Girls are not eligible for the NDA exam.

Girls are not eligible because , NDA exam conducted by UPSC is only for unmarried male whose age lie in between 16.5 and 19 years.

* You must be physically and mentally fit.

But My dear friend , if you want to join Defence Service , then you can fulfill your dream through Short Service Commission (SSC).

To Be Eligible For Short Service Commission (SSC) , you must have :

* Acquired the age between 19.5 and 25 years.

* Be Unmarried.

* Completed your graduation from any recognized college / university.

* Indian Nationality.

my daughter is appearing for 12 class examination in Mar 2013. Has she is eligible for OTA. What is the procedure for applying

According to the eligibility criteria of NDA Girls are not eligible to apply for this exam.

As this exam is only for the Unmarried male candidates. The male candidates who have passed the 10+2 exam or has appeared in the 12th board exam are only eligible.

But girls can apply for the various defence services through CDS and UES exam.

If you are studying or want to study the engineering then you may apply through University entry Scheme(UES) or through Combined defence Service examination (CDSE).

You can also apply for the CDSE if you don't study engineering after the completion of your engineering.

So NDA exam is not for the girls. This exam is only for the male candidates. If you have interest in doing defence services then you can join by the above method explained.

2. candidates must have fitness according to the physical standards
3. candidates age must be in between 16 1/2 - 19 years
4. no age relaxation is given
5. candidate must pass higher secondary education with maths, physics, chemistry as core subjects

leaving NDA , you can appear for SSC(staff selection commission) exam
