IES - INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE conducted by UPSC once every year for recruitment of Engineers in the top technical post in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics & Telecommunication Dept. under Central Govt.
The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final B.Tech. degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate, can apply for IES. The selection is through written exam followed by Personal Interview. The notification for IES 2012 exam has already been announced, the last date of submission of application form was 09.04.2012 followed by exam on 15.06.2012. The IES Exam is conducted just once a year in the month of June normally. The Eligibility Criteria for IES Exam are: 1. Candidate should have a graduate degree in any one of the following: Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics and Communication Engineering 2. The Age of the candidate should be between 21 to 30 years. It is relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates. For SC/ST candidates, it is relaxed by 5 years. |

IES stands for the Indian Engineering services examinations.This examination is best suitable UPSC exam for the engineers and is conducted only once in a year. For example the important dates of IES 2013 are: 1.Date of notification:16/03/2013 2.Last date of receiving application:15/04/2013 3.Date of examination:28/06/2013 For this examination ,you must have bachelor's degree in engineering/technology in any discipline from a recognised university.Final year graduation candidates of engineering are also eligible The age limit is 21-30 years for general candidates with relaxation of three years to obc and five year sc/st respectively. And If You Are Interested To Appear In This Exams Then You Should Have A Engineering Degree And Your Age Is Between 21 to 30 Years, Only Then You Are Eligible To Appear In IES Exams. IES 2011 Exam is to be held on 4 June, 2011. So, If You Must Have a Graduate in Engineering From a Recognized University And If You Are In Final year, Then Dont Worry You Can Also Appear in IES Exam. UPSC Indian Engineering Services (IES) Examination - Eligibility Conditions
(I) Nationality: A candidate must be either: (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to Indian before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued by the Government of India. (II) Age Limits: (a) A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st August, of the current year (b) The upper age-limit of 30 years will be relaxable upto 35 years in the case of Government servants of the following categories, if they are employed in a Department/Office under the control of any of the authorities mentioned in column 1 below and apply for admission to the examination for all or any of the Service(s)/Posts mentioned in column 2, for which they are otherwise eligible. (i) A candidate who holds substantively a permanent post in the particular Department/Office concerned. This relaxation will not be admissible to a probationer appointed against a permanent post in the Department/Office during the period of his probation. (ii) A candidate who has been continuously in a temporary service on a regular basis in the particular Department/Office for at least 3 years on the 1st August, of current year. |

IES exam stands for Indian Engineering service exam. It is conducted by UPSC to recruit engineers for different work in govt. area You must have a degree in the below mentioned stream to be eligible for the exam and to write the exam :- Electrical Engineering Electronics & Communications Engineering Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Not less then 21 and not more then 30 years on Aug 1 on the examination year Relaxation to those who are from reserved category The exam is conducted once in a year It is generally conducted in the month of June The forms are available till late march Hope it will help Cheers...!!! |

IES Stands Indian Engineering Service
IES Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission once a year . IES Exam conducted in the month of May . The examination has two parts : Written Examination Interview Written Examination : The written exam covers two parts of 100 marks which is conducted in three days . Part I consists of objective type questions & part II is of conventional papers 1st Day : General Ability test of 2hrs Part A : General English 60 questions 100 marks Part B : 60 questions 100 marks 2nd Day : objective I 2hrs & objective II 2hrs Objective I : 120 questions & 200 marks Objective II : 120 questions & 200 marks 3rd Day : Conventional I : 5 questions have to attempted of 40 marks for each question of total 200 marks Conventional II : 5 questions have to attempted of 40 marks for each question of total 200 marks Interview : Based on written test UPSC will short list students & will call for Interview Number of students called for interview is about 2.5 to 3 times the vacancy for particular year . The interview will be of 200 marks . Technical & Non technical questions asked in interview Duration would be of around 30 min & marks expected be 65 to 165 IES Exam Eligibility : Complete B.Tech from any one following discipline : Electronics & Electrical Engineering Electronics & Communication Engineering Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering |

IES is Indian Engineering Service and it is one of the entrance exam conducted by UPSC and it is held every year. For writing this exam the candidates must have specialized their degree in Engineering/Technology. for appear in this exam you must have b.tech\b.e. degree in any of these courses- electrical civil mechanical electronic & communication engineering. the age limit for this exam 21-30. there are 5 yaers relaxation for SC\ST candidates. |

This Entrance Exam is being conducted only once in a year. Every year this will be organized by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) to recruit the candidates into following Engineering Services Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Here is the required eligibility criteria for the candidates to give this Exam. One should have completed Graduation in Engineering with any of the stream from a recognized university. The candidates who have appeared for final year exams of Engineering course and waiting for the results can also apply for this Exam. Age criteria : For General category : 21-30 years of age Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. You did not mention your highest level of academic qualification.
