I m vijay singh. I have completed BA graduation now, how to become an IPS officer?. Which are courses for IPS we need to undertake?. How can I join the courses? Can you please provide me the complete details on the same? Awaiting for the answer soon.

For becoming an IPS officer, you need to crack UPSC civil services exam. BA graduation is definitely fine for this exam and you are surely eligible for it. Just make sure that you have age between 21 to 32 years.

Hence, just start preparing for UPSC civil services exam according to the syllabus. You need to clear prelims, mains and interview to get the appointment letter. For IPS officer post there is rigorous training period before joining for which you must have a sound physical fitness.

There is no need of any course to join for Indian Police Services. To become Indian Police Services officer, you need to clear Civil Services examination and its various stages. Civil Services examination has three stages:

1. Preliminary examination.

2. Mains examination.

3. Personal interview.

You have completed your bachelor's degree in arts, you can apply for Civil Service examination and clear its all stages to join Police Services. For preparation, you can join any good coaching institute:

#IPS examination is conducted by UPSC every year to recruit the candidates for police services.
#And the minimum educational qualification required to apply for IPS examination is Graduation in any discipline from recognised institution/university.
#As you have completed your B.A, you are definitely eligible to apply for IPS examination.
#Age limit to apply for IPS exam is 21-32 years and the age relaxations are :
-> 3 years for OBC candidates
-> 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
#And the maximum number of attempts allowed to write IPS examination are :
-> 4 for General category candidates
-> 7 for OBC candidates
-> No such restriction for SC/ST candidates.
